+121 It's annoying when people act completely different around the person they like or the person they're dating, amirite?

If I seem to act different around you than I do with the person i'm dating, it's because I don't feel like I can completely be myself around you. Simple.

Shouldn't it be the other way around? I mean like your friends, when they laugh at certain things and are fun, but when their boyfriend or something comes along they try to act cool, and they become bitches just to impress them. I should've worded it differently, sorry.

No honestly, i'm more myself with my boyfriend than I am with my best friends that I have know for over 6 years. It's just cause he knows me more intimately and has seen every part of who I am from my downs an ups and knows how I think. I just can't talk to my best friends and tell them things that my boyfriend knows. I guess your point makes sense if the person has been dating for only a short time.

Yeah, most of my friend's relationships have been really short, maybe a year and a half at the most, so I guess it's different for you. That's good that you and your boyfriend have that good of relationship, though. :)

aww thanks (: I'm thankfull too. Haha mines been a year so I guess when I said short I meant a month. haha Honestly though, I have neglected my friends, but since he is on vacation for the month in Mexico, I have taken the time to hang out with them and try to be myself more.

That's good :) It the other way around for my friends and I...I guess you could say they're less outgoing around their boyfriends/girlfriends. And don't worry, a year is pretty long. I meant that as in the longest one they've had...which is maybe like one friend lol. Most have been a month or less. :p

For me I was always myself around my boyfriend, but my parents and anyone else would've thought I was acting different because I can't be myself around them.

Hm, that's interesting. In terms of the guy I like, he's certainly not like me and I can't be myself around him the way I can with my friends, because you know, we just don't have the same interests or sense of humor. But I'm comfortable enough with him to be myself in his company, even if I do act weird sometimes. So...I guess that makes me not like the people who bug you, OP...?
