+315 Why take yearbook photos the first couple weeks of school? That's not how most of us are going to look all year. The best time would be closer to the ending or a little past the middle because by then most of us have changed a little. Amirite?

If they took all the yearbook photos any later they wouldn't have enough time to make the yearbook by the end of the year. But I still agree with what you're saying, I looked NOTHING like my last year's photo by the end of that year

(Maddie Mary): i was just about to say that! you would get the year book during the summer

@321252 (:))))): Yeah, but even if they took them a couple weeks later then they usual do (first week-for my school) they would still have time. Also if their to fit in all the yearbook retakes which they take way later then the actual yearbook photos, why can't they just do them all at that time?

What they could do is design all the pretty pages first and take all the other photos (sports photos, club photos, those random little photos that they add in randomly) and then maybe take and add the class photos when they're mostly done with everything else

(Maddie Mary): I guess they could take them a little before the middle so the have enough time. Also, same here! I looked totally different.

They use them for student IDs too, not just the yearbook.

Also, for the graduating class, chances are that some people won't still be around by graduation.

I'm a yearbook editor at my school, and most of the yearbook publishers require the class photo pages by around November ( for those that don't know, yearbooks are created over a course of deadlines throughout the year) for my school, the actual book is finished by around march

Oh! OP is referring to the school pictures of each individual student. I thought they were talking about the other photos.

In my school they take our pictures the year before, so our 11th grade pictures are actually our 10th, for instance.
