+235 It's annoying when you find out you've been misspelling a word your entire life, then have an especially hard time correcting it because it's become a habit to write it the incorrect way, amirite?

Or when you're taught a word one way, and then later on in life, they change the spelling. I was taught 'alot' was a word, but now days, it has to be spelled 'a lot'

Exactly! Except my problem is that for the past ten years I've been spelling sandwich "Sandwhich." I didn't notice until I got an internet browser that auto-corrects misspelled words xD So now I feel extraordinarily stupid.

I just recently learned that "attatch" is not correct. Attach looks weird to me, I guess.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I used to think 'their' looked better as 'thier.' I always ignored my teachers corrections...

I was spelling "similar" "similiar" for so long.

Tommorow...tomorow...tommorrow...TOMORROW!!! I didn't learn how to spell that word until the second semester of seventh grade.
