+72 Chivalry is dying, amirite?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

So you want to be treated the same and better too?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Women are strong, independant and can do anything men can, but you'd better give up your seat on the bus for them.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Its not the fact we NEED the seat. It just shows respect for woman, and shows that the guy is a gentleman.

I give my seat up to the elderly and anyone with an injury or a disability. I won't, however, give up my seat simply because someone is the opposite gender. Sure you can say that chivalry is dying, but it doesn't mean people have stopped helping each other. It just means that people are being treated equally. Only holding doors open for women is chivalrous, holding doors open for anyone is good manners.

Don't forget pregnant women. I also give my seat to parents with a small child, but I don't know if that is a thing.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

thats understandable. don't get me wrong, i don't look at a guy any less if he does not give up his seat for a woman. but if he does, that just shows a lot about his character.

How much *sniff* time do I have? (Cry2)

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Chivalry existed in a time before we realized women were objects.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

Women aren't objects.. Your username is AcceptingOfEveryone, but that's not very accepting xD

by Anonymous 11 years ago

And your name is Megan, but you look like a fucking Sarah.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

This isn't the first time I saw him be the opposite of his username..

Something that is dead can't die again.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I don't necessarily think so. I think as long as people instill good manners into their children that they should treat everybody (not just girls) well, we'll be fine. I was at party a few weeks ago and one of my friends (a male) wouldn't sit down because I wouldn't. He felt wrong sitting while I stood.

Maybe it's because every guy who holds a door for a female stranger or pays her a compliment is called "creepy" and "weird".

by Anonymous 11 years ago

The door gets held open for me a lot of times, and every time I smile nicely and thank them. I do the same for others myself, men and women, because it's just generally nice to hold the door open for someone...

by Anonymous 11 years ago

People act like this is a shame in reality the idea that a man should stand up from his seat for a woman or hold a door open only for a woman is ridiculous and rude. If you would do it for a woman, you should do it for anyone else as well. Treat everyone equally sort of thing.

Chivalry will come back when girls don't lower themselves to get guys

by Anonymous 11 years ago

While chivalry dies, so does sexism.

by Anonymous 11 years ago
