+640 Biscuits and cookies aren't the same thing. Coke and Pepsi aren't the same thing. Tomoto sauce and Ketchup aren't the same thing. Amirite?

I can understand the last two, but biscuits and cookies? What?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Europeans don't have cookies they have biscuits.

birch beer and root beer aren't the same either

by Anonymous 13 years ago

ono How would anyone mistake a biscuit for a cookie?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

maybe because in the UK they're the same thing.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh, Englishsters!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Coke and pepsi are both cola products, the other examples are two entirely different items....

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Truth. You know there's a difference between Pepsi and Coke though.

FFS! Sometimes I hate Americans, and I am one... they call cookies "biscuits" sometimes in many other countries, like England and Japan. Haven't any of you people had Pocky?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You're right about the first two. But ketchup and tomato sauce are the same thing, unless you mean the stuff that comes out when you squeeze a tomato. In America, you get bottles of red stuff that you put on hot dogs, and it's ketchup. Here in South Africa, we get bottles of red stuff to put on hot dogs, and we call it tomato sauce. So they are the same thing.

(Your+name+(optional)): Really? When I use the term tomato sauce, it is referring to marinara or red sauce, which goes on pasta.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(Your+name+(optional)): Actually, Ketchup is more artificial and tomato sauce is made up of tomatoes and water apparently. Anyway, don't think to hard about it.

Cinnamon Toast Crunch and the store brand are not the same thing

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The only one of those that is absolutely true is the second one. Tomato sauce CAN be ketchup, but not all tomato sauce is ketchup. Some cookies ARE called biscuits, but the words aren't fully interchangable. I don't get how this is causing so much confusion.

Here in Australia (and other places like England) everything that you consider a cookie we call a biscuit, and what you call ketchup (comes in a bottle put it on hotdogs etc) we call tomato sauce. And Pepsi and Coke... well that's just two diffrent brands that make cola soda. It shouldn't be confusing, they're the same thing except the names are diffrent depending on the country. Except the Pepsi, Coke thing...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Wooo! I'm Australian, which must explain why I thought they were different. But once again, don't think too hard about it guys!

This post and a good post aren't the same thing

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Am I the only one who can NOT taste the difference between a Cola and a Pepsi?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Uhh.. Ketchup and tomato sauce are the same thing, it's just that they're called different things in different countries. Same as biscuits and cookies.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

ketchup is different to tomato sauce, ketchup is usually a lot sweeter than tomato sauce you buy in places like australia.
