+841 Disney really needs to give SOMEBODY both parents. amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Walt Disney's parents divorced shortly after Sleeping Beauty. Thats the only disney classic with both parents. After that, he only put one parent in each movie.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

so, since his kids had divorced parents, nobody should have both? i don't know if you noticed. he's dead now. why don't the current creators give kids both mom and dad?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

101 Dalmatians had both parents, too.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If everyone in the films had both parents, people would say it was unrealistic...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yeah, and Happily Ever After IS !?!?!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I was just saying that people would complain either way. :/

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The Incredibles has both parents. :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

thats pixar. nice try, honey

by Anonymous 13 years ago

But Pixar's a subsidiary of Disney.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

no, there are some disney-pixar movies, but some are just pixar.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Um no? They have a contract. Name one only pixar movie, because I know the incredibles is Disney-pixar.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Is your sole aim in life to prove everbody wrong?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

National Treasure.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They were divorced though

by Anonymous 13 years ago

OP said nothing of them being together.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

when i say disney, i mean the G-rated stuff that came out in the '90s and the stuff on disney channel

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You didn't say that. You just said disney.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Didn't Wendy from Peter Pan have both parents?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

101 dalmations!!! :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Thats so raven had both parents and thats a disney show. as well as lizzie mcguire and even stevens i believe.... They were all disney shows?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

but MOST disney movies and shows Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Snow White,Aladdin,Lion King ,Mulan, Pinocchio, Lilo ans Stich. Hannah Montana, Phineas and Ferb ( they are STEPBROTHERS!) That is my point.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Excuse me...mulan had both parents

by Anonymous 13 years ago

oh, yeah, my bad.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Disney CLASSICS. Mulan is not a classic, in Peter Pan the main character is Peter not Wendy..

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No one said it had to be a main character.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

why isn't mulan a classic?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Wendy is pretty much a main character...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

mulan pwns. it should be a classic. who doesn't like asians and talking dragons?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually, at the start of The Lion King, Simba had both parents.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

wizards of waverly place

by Anonymous 13 years ago

???? no. Jerry and Theresa

by Anonymous 13 years ago

no i was saying that they DO

by Anonymous 13 years ago

most of the fairy tales like Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella are based off of fairy tales from a long time ago and walt disney didn't write them.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i am quite aware that the original Cinderella didn't have parents, if she did, then her winning of the prince wouldn't mean shit, cuz then she wouldn't be a dingy little servant girl.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

LOL i was about to say Wizards Of Waverly Place too :),

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Mulan, anyone? Princess and the Frog had both parents at the beginning...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

AT THE BEGINNING

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Because then they would have to play one more actor/voice actor. Plus it makes it dramatic.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Wendy and her brothers had both parents in peter pan..

by Anonymous 13 years ago

but they were in the movie for a grand total of like two minutes

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah but they're still there.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Mulan isn't a classic because it was about an Asian family.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Your a jerk

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Sorry, I mean "You're"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I think the OP meant the Disney shows as in the TV shows on now, on disney channel. Such as Hannah Montana, Suite Life, Wizards, Good Luck Charlie and shows like that. 2 of the 4 I just named only have 1 parent. Sorry for such a long comment :P. Have a nice day

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What about Tangled? True, she didn't know she had two parents for a long time, and she was brought up with just having a mother, but we, as the audience, knew from the beginning that Rapunzel had both a mother and a father.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

True, but I wrote this post before Tangled came out
