When one of your grandparents forgets your name you secretly die a little inside, amirite?

Nothing secret about it, I run off screaming about how my life is a lie and eventually curl up in the fetal position in a corner somewhere.

Near the end of his life, my grandfather forgot entirely who I was. He asked my grandmother who that cute little girl that ran around the house was, and where her parents were.

My grandparents have like 30 or 40 grandchildren. I'm sure it's okay if they get them mixed up from time to time. Do you mean like Alzheimer's or something?

My grandma has to list the names of all her female relatives before she comes to mine (it's the same for everyone in my family), but that's only when she's talking to me directly. When I call her on the phone, she knows my name from my voice. It's weird.

My grandma always calls me by my cousin's name.

My grandpa knows who everyone is but he gets our names mixed around. I'm usually either Gwen or Snickers. Gwen is six years younger than me, Snickers is a rat terrier.

My grandpa has Alzheimer's and the day he forgot who I was was so depressing.

My parents mix up my name with my little sister who is 7 YEARS younger than I am. When they start yelling at her, they sometimes shout my name, and then it all turns into a huge misunderstanding. Or vice versa.
