It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are. amirite?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Individuals are complex. The factors that define who a person is, are complex as well. Their ability to make decisions quickly only shows how fast they can think and act under pressure. I'd hate to be defined by one quick decision that had to be made it if it turned out badly.

(HalfBaked):funny this deep intellectual reply comes from someone who calls themselves halfbaked. Not belittling your point, because you made a good one, just speculating. :)
by Anonymous13 years ago
shhhhh.... you'll blow my cover =)
by Anonymous13 years ago
This is a great thought, but it was probably stolen from another website
by Anonymous13 years ago
someone is a little steamy, eh?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Another shitty POTD.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Another shitty comment offering, not constructive criticism, but just complaints.
News flash: expecting Ant and Alex to choose a bunch of good POTDs is like baking a shitty batch of cookies and then expecting them to choose a bunch of good cookies for you to eat. It's pretty much not gonna happen. How about all of you focus on making a good batch of cookies instead of complaining?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Having 1/31 POTDs be good is annoying. You wouldn't like 1 of your 31 cookies to taste good, you want more.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Ant doesn't make the cookies. He only chooses from the ones you guys make. Make better cookies to choose from.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I don't have any dough, though.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Your dough = your thoughts.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Precisely.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Then that makes me a retard, because when people say things to me like "you have 10 seconds to decide", I have a brain fart and say something along the lines of "uhh ummm blah bleh meh BLEH." No decisions made.
by Anonymous13 years ago
That would suck if you were held at gunpoint and the gunman said any last words? You gravestone would read: Hobbes-uh ummm blah blah meh blah!
by Anonymous13 years ago
"Serious" posts never work out too well as POTD... Amirite?
by Anonymous13 years ago
ANOTHER VIOLATOR OD DANIEL JAMES' CONSTITUTION!
by Anonymous13 years ago
But couldn't that be considered as a statement rather than a complaint?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Yeah....true. I t still could be seen as a complaint though. haha
by Anonymous13 years ago
They don't really define who we are as such, just some of our most deeply ingrained moral values. A person can't be defined on one moment or situation. Actually, I doubt whether a person can really be defined at all..

Sorry, we regret to inform you that this sentence has already appeared somewhere else on the Internet. what if the original author posted this?

Then we shall bow down and worship him!

Acting on one's instincts whether of thoughts or decisions can only be part of yourself. But I will have to disagree with this post. To society it doesn't make you who you are if you act totally different at other times.. You could even say 'to yourself' instead of 'to society' instead. The question lies at an even deeper level.
by Anonymous13 years ago
That's not really true though, as society often judges people based on one decision. How many times do you hear of someone who saves someone in a split second? They're considered a hero, even though in reality they could be some crack head who made one good decision. Not to mention, you could have a super famous person who's usually awesome, accidentally pick their nose in public or something, and have it blow up in their face and forever define them. A lot of time, people are defined by one action, at least in the public eye.
by Anonymous13 years ago
So true. When you're horny, you have no time to decide what porn genre to pick. That split second decision separates the men from the boys.
by Anonymous13 years ago
i lol'ed.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Separates the men from the boys... LITERALLY.

Am I the only person that gags at these so called inspirational sayings?
by Anonymous13 years ago
It's kinda weird that so many people recognize the craptasticness of this post, and yet it is up 800 and counting...
by Anonymous13 years ago
I wouldn't say "so many people". For POTDs, I think people who disagree with the post are more likely to comment on it.
by Anonymous13 years ago
True. >_>
by Anonymous13 years ago
Like one time I didn't know whether I wanted coffee without cream or with cream so I just told the cashier "surprise me."
He defined who I am today.
by Anonymous13 years ago
You know, the time I overslept and decided to tell my carpool to go to school without me REALLY tells people a lot about what I'm like.
by Anonymous13 years ago
No.
by Anonymous13 years ago
what the hell does this even mean.
by Anonymous13 years ago
what is this i don't even...
by Anonymous13 years ago
MACGRUBER!
by Anonymous13 years ago
I lost the game.
Thank you, sir/madam.
by Anonymous13 years ago
man i didn't even notice the username until i read this comment, augh!
by Anonymous13 years ago
The red pill.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Hardly.
Maybe long-term decisions, but not short-term.
POTD sucks, btw.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Well yeah, just as much as the ones that you take your time to think about. Every decision you make defines you, doesn't matter how or why you make them.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Oh man... I can't decide which way to vote. I guess I'll have to wait until 23.59...
by Anonymous13 years ago
haters gonna hate
by Anonymous13 years ago
Today at waffle house, the waitress asked me which way I wanted my eggs. I had to make the quick decision to have scrambled eggs; now she knows what kind of person I am.
by Anonymous13 years ago
This is so true
