I'm not sexist, but men are better than women at almost every single sport in the world, amirite?
by Anonymous12 years ago
..it doesn't make the comment any less sexist if you say "I'm not sexist but.." right before a sexist comment.
by Anonymous13 years ago
exactly
by Anonymous13 years ago
But it does if it's not a sexist comment, just a statistical fact that women take an issue with.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Is it a statistical fact though? He gave no statistics to back up his claim.
by Anonymous11 years ago
and, if men are better, ever think its because women are not given the same chance as men? or because they dont get the same fundings to train? jeez, and that sounds pretty damn sexist to me.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Or because they're biologically smaller, weaker, and fatter?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Seriously, people? That's a proven scientific fact. It's not something you can simply disagree with because you don't want to admit it...
by Anonymous12 years ago
And fatter? Oh, I'm sorry, apparently you have never discovered the amazingness of boobs if you think that makes us biologically fatter. We have a higher percentage of body fat because of boobs, but that doesn't make us biologically fatter.
by Anonymous11 years ago
No... that obviously significantly affects women's body fat percentage, but that's not the only reason...
by Anonymous11 years ago
We still are not biologically fatter. There is nothing biological that causes women to be fatter.
by Anonymous11 years ago
Female bodies are always prepared to be pregnant, where the baby would require nutrients from the women's body in order to grow. That's why they're biologically fatter...
by Anonymous11 years ago
No. They biologically have a higher body fat percentage, for the reasons you and I both stated. That does not make them fat or "biologically fatter." Having a higher average body fat percentage than men does not make us fat.
by Anonymous11 years ago
Alright, fine. But regardless of whether their higher body fat percentage makes them fat, that higher percentage will decrease their performance in sports.
by Anonymous11 years ago
How so? Give me one solid scientific fact that proves that a higher body fat percentage makes a woman not as good at sports. Obviously women can still get fit, gain muscles, and compete in sporting events.
by Anonymous11 years ago
Is science really required to understand people with a higher percentage of body fat won't be as good as the same person with a lower percentage of body fat?
by Anonymous11 years ago
Women on average have a higher percentage of body fat, yes. However, women who train regularly and partake in sporting events will have a lower body fat percentage. So who says they can't do as well as men?
by Anonymous11 years ago
Not as low as a man who did the same things. Obviously they can do as well as men, but the average woman won't.
by Anonymous11 years ago
How do you know? Have you ever seen a female body builder? They obviously have very little body fat on them. So yes, I believe a woman's body fat percentage can get as low as a man's.
Also, we were not talking about the average woman, we were talking about women athletes. Obviously women athletes will have lower body fat percentages than average women, just like male athletes will have lower body fat percentages than average men.
by Anonymous11 years ago
That's bollocks. Any person in the world could decide they wanted to play a sport and go out practicing regardless of chance or funding.
That's like saying that someone is better at singing than you because you haven't been given the opportunity to practice making a tune with your voice.
by Anonymous12 years ago
(Truuninja):how do you practise a sport without the chance to do so? I don't think you could ever reach the higher levels of competing without funding. Many women are prevented from playing sports too because their culture does not allow it. However men are definitely naturally stronger and often more openly competitive.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I think you're wrong, but I'm not going to argue because I'm by no means informed about sports, so I'm probably wrong.
by Anonymous12 years ago
People don't like the ugly truth, appearently
by Anonymous12 years ago
Cheerleading?
And before you say its not a sport, I'll say that it involves physical exertion and teamwork, so it's a sport.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I don't know where you're from, but where i live. Male cheerleaders are highly sought after cause they can do much more than girls.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Some guys in my area tried to join the team. They were pretty athletic and flexible, so they wanted to try. They didn't stand a chance and were horrible.

People. Seriously. This isn't meant to be an insult. Genetically men are stronger and faster than women thereby making them generally better at most sports. Of course some women are better than some men. And there are sports that women are typically better at. But statistically more men are better at more sports than women.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I don't understand why this is so upvoted and the post itself isn't, when your comment is basically restating the question. Girls see the post and automatically assume its an insult. Typical.
by Anonymous11 years ago
I came into this comment section expecting at least one person to give an example of a sport women were better at. You know, so as to justify disagreeing.
Anyone wanna help me out?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Netball?
by Anonymous12 years ago
I was just about to say that. Also things like skiing or snowboarding. Men/women aren't better, but they're at least equal.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I wasn't gonna agree with Netball but you got me with skiing and snowboarding.
Great job
:D

Field hockey? I don't think I've even seen a guys field hockey team, not in my area anyway.
by Anonymous12 years ago
That beam thing in gymnastics. Women have a much lower center of gravity, which enables them to have much better balance, and perform better stunts on the beam.
by Anonymous11 years ago
cheerleading (if that's considered a sport)
volleyball
badminton/tennis (not sure)
by Anonymous12 years ago
Men are better at volleyball, badminton, and tennis.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Who even cares what gender is better at sports? When was the last time a sport did anything worth mentioning other than make masses of people to cram into a sweaty arena and then cause riots afterwards?
It's not worth arguing over.
by Anonymous12 years ago
every single world record in a track event ever recorded belongs to males...
by Anonymous12 years ago
It is true. Its just nature; men were built physically stronger than woman (for the most part). I just dislike the wording of this post.. it kinda gives off a superior douchebaggy tone.
by Anonymous12 years ago
This is a blanket statement. It probably would have been a positive score if it had said "most sports" rather than "every sport."
by Anonymous12 years ago
It said "almost every sport," which means "most sports."
by Anonymous11 years ago
Learn to read please.
by Anonymous11 years ago
I mean, the way its phrased sounds offensive, OP could have used better word choice.
