+853 It would really suck to be a defense lawyer. You'd be defending people that might be guilty of terrible crimes, and if you did your job right, the guilty person would be let off and innocent people could be in danger. It would be hard to sleep at night, amirite?

Yeah, my mom is, it's pretty apparent it's tough D:

But what's even worse? Being the prosecution lawyer and knowing that you sent an innocent person to the electric chair. =/

I was thinking the same thing.

Not only is an innocent person in jail, but the REAL criminal is still LOSE. MUCH WORSE!!!

You're forgetting that they're lawyers. Part of their initiation ceremony is to get their soul sucked out by a dementor.

(Anonymous-er): You're pretty awesome.

Thank you, I try. :)

Thats not how it works btw. If the client pleads guilty (which theyre advised to do by their lawyer) then the lawyers job isn't to set them free it's to get them a lesser and more appropriate sentence. Like for example if the person has menal problems that changes the case and they need to try and prove by getting doctors help that the person has mental problems

Usually, but sometimes they plead not guilty and they get off entirely even though everyone knows they did it.

Or if you had to defend Blogo. His stupidity makes his lawyers look bad

Pheonix Wright has it good though. Only one loss and he gets to yell OBJECTION! all day. Until he got disbarred...

It would suck to be any kind of lawyer. Everybody would hate you.
