When you try to look at something in the dark, it's easier if you don't look directly at it, amirite?
by Anonymous13 years ago
What's that even mean?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Well, for me, if I look at a spot next to the object, I can see it a bit more clearly. Just not when I look directly at it.

Hmm I may have misread your post, I thought you said, you look directly AT the object and I'm like isn't that how the human eye works? I get you now, but I don't do that, it might be the whole night vision mechanism built into my eye, but I've never had to do that
by Anonymous13 years ago
Well, we don't all have enhanced mechanics built in, so yeah.

I realize that

That makes sense, we have more cones in the periphery of our retina (that function to allow night vision) than in our fovea (center of eye), which is adapted for detailed vision instead

The only thing I got from that is, "I like to sound smart by using big words" I'm not sure if that was exactly what you were going for, but that's the way I read it, amirite?

=X I was just trying to share some knowledge I picked up. People on this site are ridiculously mean for no reason
by Anonymous13 years ago
It's called trolling. Welcome to the internet :)
