you hate going to the bathroom then realizing that you still have your tampon in, amirite?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Especially if you're a guy.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Dammit I was gonna say that.
by Anonymous13 years ago
OP must be a guy,
peeing is possible with a tampon still in.
stupid
by Anonymous13 years ago
Yeah peeing is still possible (otherwise you wouldn't be able to go to the bathroom with it in, right?) but it gets piss on it. I think it's kind of annoying and gross personally.
by Anonymous13 years ago
It doesn't really effect anything... I mean, you might get a little piss on it, but if you're worried about that you need to tone down your hygiene just a tad :/
by Anonymous13 years ago
*affect. Sorry, I can't help it.
by Anonymous13 years ago
aww damn you..
by Anonymous13 years ago
Can't you just hold the string out of the way? How do you get pee on a tampon? Isn't it further up than that?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Where we pee out of is higher than where the string to the tampon is. So yeah, we can hold it to the side or something, but otherwise it just gets all gross.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Gross. TMI.
by Anonymous13 years ago
You're supposed to change it every time you pee. Otherwise you can get pee on it like people already said, and even just a small amount of pee sucked up in it can cause an infection. And yeah I know pee is sterile, but you still can't have it just chillin in your tampon.

(:)): You're seriously supposed to change it EVERY time you pee?? Haa, I don't do that :P Nothin's ever happened to me soooo. Yeah.
by Anonymous13 years ago
(:)): You are wrong. Even in the pamphlet in the tampon box, it says you can go to the toilet with it in. You just have to move the string out of the way. Changing every time would just be stupid. You don't get infections like that. I would know, I've been using them properly for years.
by Anonymous12 years ago
that's actually never happened to me.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Hahaha your comment made me laugh.
by Anonymous13 years ago
(DaAce96) I would hope...
by Anonymous13 years ago
@533716: yeah, you really are supposed to change it every time. They're only meant to wear 4 hours or so. Any longer is asking for infection. You want all that crap absorbed in your tampon just chillin inside you? No thanks.
by Anonymous13 years ago
(:)): Wrong. You don't change it when you go to the bathroom. That's just stupid. You only have to change them every 8 hours. Changing it every 4 or 6 hours is only because you might leak on your heavy days. I've worn them for over 10 hours and nothing happens. Those warnings are for infections that are so rare, like 1 in 100 000 rare. They just put them there so they can't get sued. Besides, it's not the tampons that cause infections. When you leave it in for too long, it creates an environment suitable for bacteria, but it'd take days, even weeks for you to get an infection.

actually, tampax advertises that you can keep theirs in for 8 hours

This website says you can keep it in for 8 hours and it specifically says that you do not have to remove the tampon when you use the bathroom.
