What makes a girls name a girls name. amirite?
by Anonymous13 years ago
No one, in fact, in Thailand (and probably other countries I don't know of) there is no distinction at all. A name is just a name.

No, "what" does not make a girl's name a girl's name, the parents do. Unless that was meant to be a question mark, and you maybe don't know how to type.

Well, some names have to do with feminism, purity and beauty. In the old days, that was all " girl stuff". Bit silly really.

This reminds me of Huge, last Monday, when Alastor picked Athena as his new name. D;

I know in Lithuania, all boys names end in 's'.

"What's in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet."
by Anonymous13 years ago
tradition, i guess. just how the names have generally been used in the past, and people are maybe too afraid to go against it because of society?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Well, you're a dick. I'm sure they just forgot the question mark.
by Anonymous13 years ago
And it's still a mistake and it still makes them look stupid. Calling me a dick doesn't change that, it just makes you seem like an ass.
by Anonymous13 years ago
No, you're probably the only person that thinks that they look stupid because they forgot a fucking question mark. It's a small mistake, not that serious so get over it

What?
by Anonymous13 years ago
what makes a boy's name a boy's name?
by Anonymous13 years ago
Oh, also. I know a guy named Ashley and that's mostly considered a "girl's" name. D;
