In elementary school, when the nurse checked for lice it felt good, amirite?

Umm I was kind of preoccupied with the fact that I might have lice?

it always feels nice when someone plays with your hair

that actually happens to kids in elementary school? never happens in my district (nurses checking for lice...we don't have permanent nurses, we have volunteer parents)

We had a qualified nurse and never had lice-checks either. I honestly just thought that only happened in TV shows.

Our nurse never did that. We did have a school dentist, and that was not pleasant.

A school dentist? I've never heard of that.

Every time I write about my elementary school experience on here people say, "I've never heard of that" or something along those lines. Now that I look back, a lot of it was weird, haha. We had to go to the dentist once a year, and if you had a toothache, you could be excused to go to the dentist who was next door to the nurse.

We had a school dentist. I even got fillings from him once.

Okay, I feel better! Our school wasn't even rich or anything. We just had one, and I remember getting something done where I had to receive a huge needle in my cheek for anesthesia!
