+330 The problem with defending the purity of the English language is that the English language is as pure as a crib-house whore. It not only borrows words from other languages; it has on occasion chased other languages down dark alley-ways, clubbed them unconscious and rifled their pockets for new vocabulary. Amirite?

(James Nicoll fan): Haha, I agree. Well, whenever you learn a romance language as a secondary language (when English is your first), you can see a lot of similarites; however, when you also read something like German, there are also a lot of similarities. English is like a melting pot of languages.

I like English as a bastard language.

I agree. Plus as a downside, English sounds so much more dull and uninteresting to say. I hate this language I'm using to type this sentence! GAH! CUT IT OUT! CUT THE WORDS OUT! -----___---____----____ T_T <(~'.'~<) (>~'.'~)> KIRBY FIESTA!
