+860 It's so shocking when people post their status on facebook as something like "ugh, hate my fucking parents!" Have a little respect, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i cant believe some people put no way... its those people that cause others to blame the younger generation

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I can't speak for the 43 others, but I said no because it isn't shocking. It should be, and the ungrateful little shits should have respect, but I'm no longer surprised that they don't.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

These kids should be kicked out onto the streets.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

well you're right, but what if their parents abuse them? if i were them i would hate my fucking parents too.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ummm if their parents abuse them then they should be doing something else about it, not making it their facebook status...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yes i know that but some people are too scared to do anything

by Anonymous 13 years ago

if that were true, i'd understand. but it's the kid's that do this when i know for sure they live in a wonderful home, they are just ungrateful, really piss me off, i've seen people (jokingly? or not) say about how they'd love to murder their parents and go on to describe how they would do it. pretty sick if you ask me.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I agree with you completely! And it's awful when I know the parent is a sweetheart, and the only reason the kid is saying so is because they can't go to a party or something.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm not shocked by it. Most kids who put that are immature and angry their parents didn't buy them a new phone or won't let them stay out past midnight.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The parents are making more babies lol.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I LOVE YOUR NAME! I LOVE HP TOO!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I wouldn't say shocking. Yeah, they are being a little ungrateful in MOST circumstances. But said above, what if they are being abused and are just too scared to tell anyone?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

People, seriously?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's not shocking. Yes, they should have some respect, but you still haven't given a solid response to "what if they are being abused and are just too scared to tell anyone?" It's not like everyone who is abused goes and jumps up to tell someone.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

And it's not shocking because a small amount of kids say they hate their parents, but they don't literally mean hate. Everyone should know that most people don't mean a true "hate" when they say it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't see why it needs to be their facebook status. I mean, I get frustrated with my parents too, but I'm not going to make that my facebook status.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

what's even more shocking is when kids complain about their jobs and say they "just wanna die" after something tragic has just happened to a friend/classmate of theirs. now that's just sick and disrespectful. it's like seriously, shut the hell up.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

even though I agree strong feelings like that shouldnt be put on facebook, even if we think we know what someones life is like, we dont. most of us have no clue what its like to be someone else. when i see someone post a status like that, i pray for them and wish them the best, because who knows what they are going through.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Jesus, if you find this shocking you must have a serious case of oversensitivity :O

I would never use "fucking" and I would only post that I hated my dad.... But when he goes and gets your dog (that you've had since you were a year old) cremated while you were ASLEEP, and then put your next dog to sleep while you were still at school and never gave you a chance to say goodbye all while you're 13-14, you'd have a right to say, "I hate my dad." Oh, and when he tells you that you need a job, straight A's to get scholarships because he sure as hell isn't paying for college, and he is encouraging you to go to your local college instead of going to MIT like you want to because it's too expensive even though you KNOW you could get in and do well.... Need I say more?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm sorry. And it was the "fucking" part that always pissed me off. Sorry.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No problem, I get what you mean. When people add "fucking" into the post, it just makes them seem a little less mature.

A) I voted no way on this because every parent, even though they're usually nice or whatever, screws up sometimes and doesn't realize/won't admit they're wrong. For example: You get yelled at for getting 1 B+ in a sea of As, you were blamed for something you didn't do, etc. B) That doesn't mean that people moaning and groaning over facebook are acceptable to me...all it does is piss people off and clog up my newsfeed. C) I totally agree with the poster about the cussing...it doesn't change anything. UG!
