That is horrible. Not every priest is a pedophile and not every pedophile is a priest. Can we please get over it? Everybody is a sinner and we all make mistakes. Can you please try not to stereotype a whole religion because of a few claims?

Few? There have been thousands, and even more cover ups. Not to mention that generally the priests aren't kicked out but are "reeducated" and moved to a new church, which only gives new options. Yeah, no big deal, just a few kids scarred for life and their tormentors having almost no consequences.

What, you don't think the guilt will get to them? You don't think that the fear that they'll go to Hell will get to them anyway? Maybe there have been thousands, but how many teachers, doctors, babysitters, even parents molest children every day? I said before that everyone makes mistakes and sins, but even without doing research, I'm willing to bet that molestations by priests only make up a small fraction of all of those in the world.

What if it were found out that thousands of doctors had purposefully killed patients on the operating table? Sure it's only a small fraction of murders in the world, but it would still be outrageous.

I think Courtney's upset is on behalf of all of those who were abused, and I frankly don't like Pedo_Bear's humor, either, because it's such a sad sad thing that jokes don't seem to fit.

Kids aren't threatened into believing in God. Catholic Churches are a very happy place, and if you don't want to respect them or go there to worship God, then don't. But please don't go bad-mouthing a church that you obviously don't know anything about.

Ugh I hate born-again christians. I went to one of their schools once and its all if u do this, u go to hell! If u don't turn born-again, your going to hell! Seriously? Nobody cares. I'm catholic and I have nothing against any religion UNLESS they try to convert me. I'm sick of that. Oh and I found this JOKE funny.

Ugh. it just bothers me that the news never seemed to cover such an important story...the only people that payed attention to the issue were the people making jokes out of it! And no one's really done anything besides crack jokes. Oh, and NONE of the catholic churches I've ever been to have been happy.
