-399 Legend of Zelda is better than mario, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Are you on crack?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's actually a tough choice, in my opinion.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

mario won by 51%

by Anonymous 13 years ago

...... I think so

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I think they're at par with each other.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, you can't really compare the two...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You don't go into a best nintendo series question without metroid.

zelda has one big thing going: their background music is unrivaled across the video game land

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I like Pokemon's musical score, too. I know they're not really comparable since they have completely different tones and moods, but I just thought I'd bring that up on the topic of video game soundtracks. :P

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What about the older Final Fantasy games? Pretty insane soundtracks, if you ask me... But yes, Zelda is better by far.

I never really played FF very much. The only one I've ever played was IX, but I got stuck in a dungeon and couldn't get out without dying. On the very first disc (there were like three of four discs; must have been a damn long game). It sucks, because I was really getting into the game, too.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ah, that's the problem. I've played most of the early (NES, SNES) FF games, they're all fantastic. Really, you should give 'em a try.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I did. I just told you. But I suck at them, apparently. Also, I think it's a very poorly designed game if it has areas where you can actually get irreparably stuck. :/ But having said that, I really enjoyed it up to that point. It wasn;t even so much the gameplay (which was so-so) but rather the characters, the story and the setting. It was all very colorful. I loved it. Until I got stuck. .__.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You said the only one you ever played was nine, try 6 and below. They're gems, all have very awesome story/characters, and it's fairly hard to get stuck.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hm. This is going to sound superficial, but I've never really been able to get into games that old unless I've grown up with them. I'll go as far back as the original Playstation, but anything before that is a hard sell. I know, it's silly isn't it?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well duh.

Ocarina of Time was claimed the best game of all time.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's a great game, but there are other, greater ones. It was, in my opinion, probably the best game of its time, and it probably held that title for quite a while.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I like Zelda but... I don't like anything as much as I like Mario. :/

by Anonymous 13 years ago

that is a huge topic, you could talk about this for hours or days, but Zelda does have so much more of a deep story to the games and alot of fucking prequels and sequels and prequels to the prequels there was never a zelda 3 (doubt there ever will). Mario games have interesting levels but usually a simple story unless you take into consideration some of the RPGs wich are more complex than the regular mario games. But in my book, they are both awesome and each have a uniqueness that makes them superb. Anyways that was my nerdy rant =]

by Anonymous 13 years ago

also Zelda has Ocarina of time which was noted as an almost perfect game.

I like and respect Mario games for the variety and originality, but Zelda games are always the most thrilling to play. Zelda wins in my opinion. These guys have a Zelda marathon going. They're playing the 1st 12 Zelda games (all but PH and ST). Zelda fans should check it out

Dude, all Mario does is shoot fireballs, go invinicible for like thirty seconds, and jump on random creatures to kill them... at least Zelda make sense in the whole fantasy world thing! Swords, magic, and horses... none of this squishing goombas by sitting on them stuff! XD.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hm? How is Mario 3 times more popular than Zelda? I would've expected the score on this to be around even.
