Broken hearts hurt more than broken bones, amirite?
by Anonymous13 years ago
And they take longer to heal :(

To those voting no,
Broken hearts come in more forms than a break up. Losing a parent can break a heart beyond repair. I'd break every bone I've got if it brought my dad back.

I'm sorry):

It's been just over a year and it feels like yesterday most days.
by Anonymous13 years ago
That's really sad. I've been lucky this far in my life, and no one I was close to has died yet.
by Anonymous13 years ago
awwww babe I am sooo sorry- you must be one strong person to deal with that :( x
by Anonymous13 years ago
I try... It's hard.
by Anonymous13 years ago
true. with something like breaking a bone it can be fixed and restored but losing a loved one is gone forever:(
by Anonymous13 years ago
Not true. I don't want to vote down, because if I do, I know i'll get soooo many down votes... So, I'm saying, Yeah, a loved one died, or you broke up with your girlfriend/boyfriend. But, and don't take this the wrong way, but you have to just get over it! You have a to have a strong heart so you can deal with your problems like a man/woman! Don't let your heart brake so easily, and just cope with your problems, and get on with life. You know, I'm sorry if I'm offending anybody in any manner, but what I'm saying is true. My mom passed a couple of weeks ago, and I'm fine now. I'm not sulking, or crying, or being emo. I don't even think about it most times. I just got over it. So all of you should do the same, it will lead you towards a better lifestyle. But hey, I'm going to tell you what to do. You can do whatever suits you best. I'm not going to command any of you to get over it and yell, like a drill sergeant. I hope this comes to use. PEACE.

**But hey, I'm NOT going to tell you what to do.**

HEARTS DON'T FUCKING BREAK.
Christ.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Figure of speech.
by Anonymous13 years ago
So is "she was so tight it was like fucking a premature baby", but I'd be pounded through the ground by hypersensitive people with morals if I said that. If you can't find anything other than a shitty figure of speech to explain an event or a feeling, don't say it.
by Anonymous13 years ago
And if you're going to get so pissed at a figure of speech don't comment. It was obviously good enough to make it on the home page so just lay off.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I'v broken my tailbone and lost someone really close, I feel the pain is equal. But that of course is just my opinion.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Depends on the type of bone breaking, first of all. But if it were say, an arm bone, you still get a cast and people giddy to sign it. Plus most people would go out of their way to help you, even complete strangers. That sounds a lot better then a broken heart to me.
by Anonymous13 years ago
i know haha i've broken my arms 5 times in totally i think maybe 6 and every time everyone is like awh is there anything I can do for you? I didn't even have to write in school and I always had a partner to work with which was usually my best friend:D

The heart is a muscle. It can't even get broken. I have no idea how that saying came to be, but the heart can be crushed, not broken.
by Anonymous13 years ago
omg it's a saying. It doesn't mean the heart is LITERALLY broken. I would be ruder, but seeing you're a Harry Potter fan I think I'm going to lay off a bit. (By the way I got it the first time someone told me. okay?)
