+448 Richard Harris played a much better Dumbledore than Michael Gambon, amirite?

Michael Gambon yells too much. He makes Dumbledore seem more aggressive than he actually is.

R.I.P Richard Harris.

R.I.P., Richard Harris! He rocked because he portrayed Dumbledore as the soft, caring, gentle man he was supposed to be. Richard Harris's voice and actions seemed too harsh and aggressive.

I totally agree!! When I picture Dumbledore, I think of Richard Harris. Michael Gambon just isn't right and he hasn't even read the books!

New Dumbledore is MEAN!

I loved the original Dumbledore! He was so sweet, kind, loving, and humble. He was the good man that Harry admired. Michael Gambon sort of comes off as rude. And I hate how they tie his beard.

I do agree that Richard Harris was the softer Dumbledore, but he wasn't as full of life like Michael Gambon is and like Dumbledore is supposed to be.

Richard Harris wasn't as "full of life" because he was dying of cancer while working on Harry Potter.

Richard Harris seemed much more sprightly and goofy, which is how i always pictured Dumbledore to be. Michael Gambon seems altogether too serious.

Agreed! R.I.P Mr. Harris! Gambon is way too harsh, there's also the fact that he dresses like a wizarding hippie. Whoever dressed Harris got it right. Dumbledore belongs in rich velvety colors and fabrics, not the metallic crap Gambon is swathed in.

i agree gambon is way too harsh a gr8 example is in gof when he questions harry about whether he put his name in the goblet or not he seems lik hes about to jump down harry's throat... @chochangyall has he seriously not read the books?

I think if somehow they were combined into one person, that would be the perfect Dumbledore. Harris seemed almost too gentle and quiet, by Gambon seems to harsh.
