Eh, whose standards are we talking about? According to some, Fight Club, Godfather (part two) and, Scarface, and the Shining are all five stars. I'll give you "yeah you are though", because critics are all over the place.

They can only be five stars if every person in the world agrees that the movie is worth five stars. Every single one.

When Juno was in cinemas, I read in a few magazines that it had been given 5 stars. Personally I would've given it about 4, but anyway.

I think most movie rating systems go 1 - 4 stars.

Movies are rated on a 4-star scale. Only a minority of reviewers use a 5-star scale.

Oh, the Des Moines Register does 5 stars. And I've seen quite a few movies rated 5 stars in there.
