I agree with StealthApple, there's a difference between the words. There's nothing wrong with being hot or sexy. To me, it's more about a vibe you put out as opposed to your physical appearance. Haven't you ever crushed on somebody that didn't really measure up to your taste physically, but somehow he was still hot?

Those words mean entirely different things though... Maybe the boy doesn't think you're beautiful, maybe he just thinks you're hot. That doesn't mean he isn't real. If anything that makes him MORE "real" than a guy who says you're beautiful; He's not trying to be nice, not trying to be cute and make you feel special by calling you beautiful. Because let's be honest there are definitely some guys who just call girls beautiful because they think it's what they want.
