Probably the reason that Zac Efron is so much more successful than other former Disney stars is because he hasn't tried to make a career out of singing. He just sticks to acting. amirite?

admit it, you can't take a Zac Efron movie too seriously because of High School Musical.

17 Again had an awful script. It's not necessarily his fault. Sandra Bullock was bad in All About Steve, but that doesn't make all of her films bad.

EXACTLY!!! "how can you compare sandra bullock to zac efron?" well if you had seen All About Steve you would know that she did absolutely suck in that movie. The whole movie sucked. And you can say the same thing about HSM and, in your opinion, 17 Again, even though I'm almost positive you had already decided that you hated him and wouldn't let yourself like it, because it was a good movie. And Sandra Bullock is one of my favorite actresses. Just cause she had one bad movie doesn't mean she's a shit actress. Same for Zac Efron.

He was pretty emo in Charlie St. Cloud. Granted, his character's brother died in an accident which he blamed himself for. It was just weird seeing him ACTING and not putting on a show (HSM).

Ehh. I don't hate Zac Efron, but I'm not a fan of his acting myself. I can agree with the "more successful" than other Disney stars, but I don't think it's because he didn't try out a singing career. The singing thing in HSM seemed to be what really made him popular with the young people 'round where I live, but the fact that he didn't pursue it doesn't really seem to make a difference, IMHO. Also, I thought Bullock was hilarious in All About Steve, though the movie itself wasn't so good~
