+581 I think it would be a good idea to have a repeat button on all Just In posts. If the number of people who pressed the repeat button exceeds the number of people who voted yes or no after three minutes, then the post will be deleted. This would be an efficient way of weeding out repeat posts without overworking the mods, amirite?

I agree and that will prevent people from posting the same thing more than once but with different wordings.

Problem with this: If a lot of people happen to be "offended" by the post, they could just heap a bunch of "repeat votes" on it and do away with it.

Well, maybe they could make a repeat button and once it gets a certain amount of repeat votes it gets sent to the mods, who then decide if it was actually a repeat or if people just got offended by it.

it would kind of ruin the purpose of the repeat button if it gets to the mods again! :)

But it would save their time, they wouldn't have to look through all the posts to find them.

if people feel offended by the post they'll vote no way and click the repeat button. So if the post is positive by a certain margin and still gets lots of repeats, then it gets removed because its probably a genuine repeat.. But if it's negative by a certain margin or almost neutral and still gets lots of repeats, then the post goes to a waiting queue where the mods will decide what to do with it.. That way some posts will be filtered and those posts that might not be repeats but biased due to their content would not get removed until they are seen by someone. Still the mods will have less work and abuse of the repeat button will be limited.

Oh, and that's pretty much what I meant, just I didn't say it in as much detail :)

perhaps you guys should block certain overused phrases from being used, such as you could block any post that used the phrase "better than twilight"

Just let the mods do their job. There's a comment area. You can inform the voters through it.
