Maybe because girls are more open than guys. Think about it, some guys think it's "hot" for girls to be into girls while other guys bully and call a gay guy names. We didn't hear about any lesbians committing suicide because of bullying but we did here about gay guys. Maybe there's a bit of a double standard? I don't know, just taking a guess here.

I think it's because, sadly, it is more socially acceptable for girls to be lesbian or bi than it is for guys. If a girl feels she is bi, she usually has no problem saying so, because people will (for the most part) accept it. But if a guy is bi, he might feel very confused, because it's like one minute he thinks a girl is really hot, the next minute he's staring at some guy's abs. So the guy might be less likely to admit it to himself, much less everyone else.

A lot of girls claim they are bi because guys think it's hot. I know three girls who say they are bi, but have never dated a girl, constantly talk about how hot a guy is, but never about a girl. I highly doubt they're really bi. Also I've known girls who went through a "I'm lesbian phase" and came out of the closet to their parents, and later say they are strait...

Most, practically all, of the "Bisexual" girls I know do it for attention because as Stacilovesyou said guys think it's hot. They don't even date girls, they just have a boyfriend and say that they're also dating their best friend.
