+345 You lose a little bit of respect for your favorite tv shows when they take things a little too far, example: southpark has an episode where it claims any dad that didn't sexually abuse their children doesn't love them. some people actually had to deal with it, and while they were trying to be funny, it was just too far. amirite?

Going to far with things is exactly what MADE south park. Offensive, but funny nonetheless.

south park goes too far with EVERYTHING, pointing out something that affects you or someone you know is kinda selfish

by Anonymous 13 years ago

... How is that selfish?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

well if it didnt bother you the other times, why does it when someone else isnt the target?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

But they didn't say it affected themselves. They said "some people actually had to deal with it" so OP is not being selfish.

yeah i guess (which is why i didnt NW). i just think south park was the worst possible example

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You could really make that point with anything south park does though. They go too far with everything but it's just what they do.

This wasn't just addressing south park , I was talking about a lot of shows these days. South park was just an example. Calm down.

South Park probably wasn't the best example though...

people need to stop being so sensitive about everything. WHAT IF someone got molested by their dad? WHAT IF they have herpes? sucks, yeah, obviously but its rediculous to expect everyone to keep their mouths shut about the entire subject because some small % of people MIGHT be offended by it.

South Park includes everyone in their jokes. They even make fun of themselves! (One of the co-writers is jewish). Heck, I would WANT South Park to offend me, it's almost like a privilege.
