No. Because it's not a circle. The chicken happened as a result of a genetic mutation on the part of its evolutionary predecessor, so at some point a chicken-like creature laid an EGG which then was hatched into a chicken.

Or did the egg come with the chicken already inside? However the real question is where the rooster came along, because without it the chicken' just feathers and the egg's just a hen period.
