I disagree, If a band playing a song live sounds the same as a studio version, its most likely playback. A band is good when they play better live. I can tell you from experience that playing in a studio is more nerve racking than playing live (when you're just starting out) because you play so often that it becomes second nature. I'm just rambling now

Umm yes playback if you listen to lady gaga or eminem but you wont find one good rock band that ever did playback.

Well Lady Gaga and Eminem don't use actual bands so it has to be playback otherwise there'd be no music. It's like that with pop/rap. And you're right. Good rock bands don't do playback, that's why they should sound BETTER live.

Yep. In Cleveland in October, 5th row. It was amazing. I could feel the heat from the flames during the show. Fantastic, fantastic show.

They're horrible on their albums, so I wouldn't waste my money to see them live. They may put on a good show (I wouldn't know) but their music is terrible, in my opinion.

MJ sang live just as well as he sang in the studio. I know he wasn't lip syncing because of one concert where he was using both hands zippin' up his pants (awkward) and he missed some of the words to the song. If you're wondering, it's Another Part of Me (zipper incident) on youtube :)
