What does :/ mean?

I have no idea, haha. I just hate the US gov. I mean it sucks that you have to be rich to go to college with no worries.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Or join the military to pay for college. Which is what I have to do.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What did the U.S. government do? Honest question here.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There was an earmark in the health care bill that was passed that gave the government control of who can get grants and scholarships and who can't.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I haven't heard anything about that; do you have any sources? Besides, University tuitions have been exorbitantly expensive way before 2009 came around.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yes. Fox News. The caption-thing (not the ticker) said: HEALTHCARE/EDUCATION BILL

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I meant like a link to a specific article. But in any case, like I said, college has been expensive for a while now.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well I dint have one. I saw it on the news; take my word for it, google it, IDC. College has been and will always be expensive.

Or settle with going in state. Their prices are fine, even if you have to take out Stafford Loans and such. Oh, but try going out of state with crappy credit? No chance, buddy.

Everyone acts like state unis are an easy option but I didn't get any scholarships from my state schools so the cost was about as much as the private schools I applied to. And I will still be stewing inn debt for decades -
