+639 When a teacher is randomly picking students to answer questions, you avoid eye contact at all costs, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

and you make it look like your trying to do/find something

by Anonymous 13 years ago

eeeexactly

by Anonymous 13 years ago

NEVER make it obvious. Those bastards WILL call on you...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

they always pick the ones that are painful and hesitant to present their project/answer the question. just to fuck with us... cause they can do that and you can't do anything about it.

Actually, on the contrary, I look at them and pretend to be very interested in the subject. My teachers have a tendency to call on the people who seem to be zoning out, so I stare intently and nod my head understandingly. Oh yeah.

I raise my hand for the first easy question there is, and once I answer, I don't get called on for the rest of the class.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Dude, you totally get my strategies! Answer the easy ones and that keeps you out of her target range for the next couple questions... That will give me enough time to catch a few Z's!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh heck yes! And they seem so flattered that you're actually "making and effort!"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

*blushes* Well, I don't want to BRAG or anything, but... I DO get comments on my report card for being an excellent participant. xD

by Anonymous 13 years ago

haha Same here! It's great! :) I pay just enough attention to get complimented but there's plenty of time for a little "break."

by Anonymous 13 years ago

OMGoodness! :D Thank you, Mrs. B, for not having the best eye-sight and not noticing my little naps. :]

by Anonymous 13 years ago

And thank you, Miss S, for letting me totally zone out during your ever-so-engaging lessons. ;)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That would be my exact reply if I posted before you. y

The children of today are the future... Prepare yourselves. >:-]

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Damn, we're screwed.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh yes. No doubt about it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You have to been nonchalant about it though. You can't just jerk your head towards the window when the teacher looks towards you.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Made THAT mistake once...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

When I really don't want to called have a fake coughing fit.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

but then they go "are you alright?" and while theyre talking to you they ask you

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You gotta look like your still taking notes on the last thing they said... if they still call on you say "hang on i didn't finish writing that last part" and just keep scribbling down a bunch of crap till they're finally like "Can anybody help them out?!"

You know who else avoids eye contact at all costs? My MOM!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My Spanish teacher has a habit of only calling on me if I look at her or if I'm half asleep and can't think straight. So I just pretend that I'm reading my vocab, preparing to answer, and she doesn't call on me.
