That's like saying blind people just can't see. They can't, for example, listen to music. Unless they learn to lip read, a difficult process in itself, they will not be able to participate in normal conversations, and in any case, their voice will sound strange, and they will probably be teased for it. Even then, they won't be able to understand unless the person is facing them and talking reasonably slow. They might be able to watch television or movies by using subtitles. Learning vocabulary will be more difficult, because they won't be able to learn from others. Do you see what I'm getting at? Stop being a moron.

Yes, blind people can't see. They can still do other things, they just need accommodations. Deaf people have music, they can feel vibrations and the lyrics can be signed in rhythm. I sign music for the Deaf and know deaf people who sign music and even sing and play instruments! Yes, conversations are difficult, but if more people learned sign, we wouldn't have that problem. Deaf people are only teased because there's so many ignorant people who don't realize what they're doing. It doesn't matter if their voice sounds strange. Deaf people can still read and right and understand most english. It's part of Deaf education. Don't call me a moron.

Deaf people make up a small minority of the population. Going out of our way to learn a language that may or may not come in handy in other situations is inconvenient. Feeling vibrations and listening to music are different. I actually tried this once. It does matter if their voice sounds strange, because people will tease them for this. look, saying nothing is wrong to a person who can't hear is like saying nothing is wrong to an asthmatic who need his/her nebulizer, leaving him there to choke on his own throat, and walking away. i know thats not how you mean it, but its how you make it sound, like it's totally normal. saying people are ignorant for not learning sign language is exactly the same as me calling you ignorant for not knowing how to speak swahili because its not their fault they grew up with a different language. so i geuss that makes you ignorant, AND a moron. deaf people may be able to play instruments but they can never write their own songs unless they heard it before, so if you go death in life, sure, but people born deaf cant, so quit pretending everything is okay. great, you help them but they can never lead a life without being reminded everyday of their disability.
