My parents call me by my older sister's name.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It used to, but now it has happened so many times that I don’t care anymore.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I mean, it used to bug me, but pronouncing my last name correctly on the first try has become nearly impossible...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You would not belive how much this happens to me. I have a twin.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah it happens to me all the time, especially since my name is Devon (pronounced Dev-in) and I have a twin sister so people get us mixed up all the time

I don't think many people have a problem pronouncing 'Emma'. And yeah, my parents (mostly my mom) always call me by my siblings' names.

People pronounce my last name ray-mos instead of raa-mos (Ramos)

I have a friend named Etai (it's hebrew), and it seems as if people purposely try to mispronounce it. It's kinda funny.

some people call me by my sister's names constantly and i act like its funny and doesnt bother me when i really just want to punch them in the face and FORCE them to remember me.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm a twin. But we look nothing alike and still NO ONE knows who one is who. Gahhh

by Anonymous 13 years ago

also when people (especially relatives) spell it wrong.

Here is what i go through whenever i meet a new person: "Hi, I'm Brenna." "Ooh, Breanna is such a pretty name!" (Sigh) "No. It's BREN-UH." "Jeeze, Breanna, no need to freak out." Yes. There was a reason to freak out. You're like, the billionth person to mess up my name.

My mom still calls my little brother sergio. She kicked me out a little over a year ago.

People misspell my name all the time. My name is Ellie. Not Ellii, or LE, or Eli, or Elle. Ellie. My 6th grade English teacher could never remember my name. She would avoid saying it a lot, or call me Ella or Emma.

My friend's last name is Szuczszewicz, go ahead, try.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My friend's last name is Michalewicz... Not as bad as your friend's, but still difficult.

People call me Kelsey all the time. I've kind of just becomes accustomed to answering to it. Also, my past 2 history teachers have called me Sydney and my friend Kinsey, even though we look nothing alike and never even sat by each other. Plus, my last name is rarely pronounced correctly the first time, so I've stopped trying to correct people.
