it's really the low brass that make the band sound good. and i'm saying this as a flute player -_-

Bring on the trumpets
by Anonymous13 years ago
i think that having all of the instruments together make the band sound good. missing any instrument makes the band sound incomplete.

If where reffering to ska, I <3 ska.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Indeed we are. (:
by Anonymous13 years ago
Um it's percussion.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I LOVE SKA.
by Anonymous13 years ago
All instruments are important...but trumpets are the most important of all!
by Anonymous13 years ago
Yeah, trumpets always have the solos and stuff, but all instruments are important.
by Anonymous13 years ago
As a flute player, I have to say I agree. Our trumpet players are amazing, and in most of our songs the trumpets have the melody. But honestly, everyone in the band makes the band "better." Even the players you can barely hear.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I play trumpet. I take it that the OP is also a trumpet player.

Percussion, FTW
by Anonymous13 years ago
A good drumline trumps any instrument. Pun intended.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I personally think low brass makes the band better... although I'm probably biased, but trumpets are good too.

FRENCH HORNS. 8|
by Anonymous13 years ago
The band makes the band sound good. Not a specific instrument. Trumpet players are so cocky ;D
by Anonymous13 years ago
We come by it rightfully so!
by Anonymous13 years ago
Clarinet is where its at =D we got our 20+ buttons... and our reeds..... Long story short.... WOODWINDS KICK BRASS
by Anonymous13 years ago
But you guys squeak!
Though you do have a better slogan type thingy.
by Anonymous13 years ago
People that suck at clarinet squeak. People good, such as myself, Squeak very rarely. - see clarinets can be cocky too ;D
by Anonymous13 years ago
I don't know any good ones...Only bad squeaky nerds.
...But wait!
You guys just press buttons! Trumpets have several notes on the same fingering!
by Anonymous13 years ago
I am aware of this. But you guys can double tongue. Clarinets can not. ... at least, you can't unless you've been playing for ohhh... like 45 years haha
by Anonymous13 years ago
Touche. lol.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Flute..... now that looks difficult. takes almost more air then the tuba, you can't double tongue easy, and theres like 2394923948 keys.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I play flute and sax and I think flute's easier. Other than the air support. That was the hardest thing.
by Anonymous12 years ago
The drum line actually makes the band... No drum line, no beat. And this comes from a sax player.
by Anonymous13 years ago
It really depends on what type of band.
Like marching is a lot of drums and trumpets...
Concert band is everyone.
Rock bands are guitar, bass, and drums......No trumpet.
