It's the fear of not being, mainly how that "not being" is accomplished and what you will not be able to do in that "not being".

I am not afraid of being dead, it will be just like before i was born. It's not like I will be lying there in the grave thinking about how it sucks to be dead or how I miss being alive. It is just nothing. What i am afraid of is taking my short life for granted and the actual process of dying.
