Every FML post is somethig lame about how they got their bike stolen, or they found out they're adopted. A REAL FML would would be from some kid in Africa. Something like "My mother died while giving birth to my little sister, and my father died of Malaria before I was born so now I'm left to take care of my 9 younger siblings by myself. Oh yeah and my girlfriend left me for Edward Cullen."

This bugs me. When someone says something bad happened to them and some else is like, "You shouldn't be complaining. There are poor kids in Africa who have to take care of their 56 younger siblings while working 6 jobs and dying of AIDS." Your life doesn't have to be the worst for something to be wrong with it.

Yes, but the site is called FML meaning FUCK MY LIFE. Which is going to drastic measures in assuming your life REALLY is awful. My point was that there are much worse things out there than tripping infront of your crush..

I guess, but I'm pretty sure one of the main points of FML is to be entertaining. A lot of the posts really are funny, while "Today, my entire family died" isn't.

Yeah, but that would be a real FML. Something like "I dropped my toothbrush in the toilet" would be more of a "FMD" fuck my day.. because dropping your toothbrush in the toilet might ruin your day.. not your life.

It says on FML that ''users can tell everyone the shitty moment which ruined their day''. Just because your life isn't the worst life ever, doesn't mean you can't get upset when bad things happen. I'm sure if you were in a circumstance where an FML-type thing happened to you, it would feel awful, even if was something small, and for a little while (with some exaggerating on your part) you'd think your life was fucked.
