It's sad but true I used to be a huge green day fan but 21st century breakdown sucked

They're almost pop-punk now. They USED to be punk, around Insomniac and Nimrod, but ever since Warning they've been getting progressively poppier. @559336 (Rainbow35):

Their my favorite band, and though they're not exactly punk now, I still love them. They've matured and I like it. :)

I love Green Day! I just consider them rock. Boulevard of Broken Dreams is my favorite song by them.

Punk should be one's opinion, based on their beliefs. Punk is about being yourself and not caring what others think, despite social expectations. Punk shouldn't categorize music completely and be used to make people feel bad about their tastes. If someone feels Green Day is punk, let it be.

Nimrod was definitely their best album. I agree about them getting less good, but I think they're still cool. The Static Age was the only song from 21st Century Breakdown that I really loved.
