+262 It's weird how just because someone's cool they can do something and make other people laugh but if a nerd or loser did that it would make people like them less. amirite?

Last year for Halloween a really quiet and shy girl dressed up as Lupin and yelled "There's a troll in the dungeon!" but only me and like six other people laughed. Right after she left everyone started talking shit about her. People are fucking disgusting.

It's really bothered me how that happens... I usually try to laugh if somebody that's not very popular makes an okay joke.

People treat you better if you're pretty. My friend was weird and geeky and loved video games, and everyone just thought she was freaky. She got sexy over the summer then suddenly she was hilarious and quirky. People are fickle.

Definitely true. A lot of girls are my school are really hyper and kind of strange, in a way that nobody would find as okay if they weren't pretty.

Well you do have to consider that "cool" people tend to be better at socializing and sound more confident when they tell a joke. The person who has less experience at being social might tell the same joke but say it in a slightly awkward way that nobody finds to be funny. I'm not condoning jerks, but that's my logic behind //why// people do it.
