+566 The Mosque in New York isn't ON ground zero, it's 2 blocks away. It's taking the place of the Burlington coat factory. That should be the real debate, now where am i gonna find a nice French coat a cheap price? nowhere! thats where, amirite?

Let me tell you that this is a very controvertial toppic to make jokes about but I think that any mosque near ground zero is a big punch in the face

by Anonymous 13 years ago

well almost everything these days are contravericial. But whats life if you can't just sit back and laugh at the world every now-and-again?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I strongly agree with you on laughing at the world, you only get one life so enjoy it. However I remember watching neighbours coming home covered in soot crying, waking up with an inbox of emails allerting me of who was lost was the worst experience of my life. For many people the wound is just healing and it is a matter of honoring family members and the rehashing memory of 9/11 is extremly painful beyond joking. We are all entitled to our opinion and mine on this matter happens to be strong.

What you need to realize is that the people who are building the mosque aren't the same people who flew those planes into the twin towers. Stop listening to the bullshit propaganda from Fox news. These people are just trying to build a church. There is nothing cynical about it. Not all Muslims are terrorist who hate America.

Omg, thank you! Why take something so trivial so seriously? There's no point.

everything controversial these days is made into jokes, learn to take one.

You are so awesome, I might let you borrow my nice french coat.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

HAHAHA. i love this post! :D Its truly amazing.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I know, this is really shocking to me, it's like punching every one in America. They had some of the best coats ever, I'm so sad. I don't live there, but i know i'll be sad.

haha. Made my day after reading the other post about that mosque! :D

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I completely concur. I think it's really terrible that Americans would allow anybody to put their religion before affordable fashion! It is truly a shame what our country has become.

cheer up, there's gonna be a strip club just a mere block away. you dont need any clothes there ;)

Haven't you heard of the Auschwitz controversy with the nuns? It's a similar situation.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The reason some people are so mad about the whole situation is because a greek orthodox church was also destroyed in the 9/11 attack. That church couldn't get permission to rebuild, so why should another place of worship in the same area? <http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/08/17/ground-zero-church-archdiocese-says-officials-forgot/>

by Anonymous 13 years ago

1. The mosque is 2 blocks away. 2. If that greek orthodox bitch was 2blocks away they probably would've let them build it. It's got nothing to do with the religions of the respective churches and everything to do with the location. 3. You quoted fox news so you have no credibility.

Well, Muslims need a place to pray, too. Stop being selfish. And Jimkickslastin, Thank you so much, I couldn't agree more. And FYI, Muslims were NEVER terrorists, think what you want to think, but I know the FACTS, Loser.

You do realize there was already a mosque 4 blocks away from ground zero before 9/11, right?
