Worse yet is when they ASK you, "Am I your best friend?" And you just kind of have to stand there and fumble around with your words and find a really subtle way of saying, "no, my best friend is someone who I VOLUNTARILY SEE AND SPEAK TO VERY OFTEN AND WHOSE COMPANY I ENJOY."
