+324 No matter was sport you play or if don't play a sport at all, you have to admit that gymnastics has to be the hardest sport of them all. amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Holla! You know what's up ha.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There's no way to determine which sport is the hardest. Everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses, and whats hard for someone can be easy for another. That's kinda like saying math is the hardest subject out there. Some people might find it really, really hard, but for some it's the easiest thing they've ever done.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's definitely wrestling. The entire point of the sport is to inflict more pain on the other person than they can handle. And I don't mean professional wrestling, I mean actual greko-roman wrestling

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh so hugging sweaty men is a sport now?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Then why is "soccer8D" your user name?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

? wtf ? His user name doesn't say 'socceristhehardestsport'... He can still think that gymnastics is the hardest sport.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh holy crap! You've got to be kidding me! Please forgive my wrong doing. How could I ever have been so silly? Oh dear. How silly of me.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

anyone can get good at gymnastics. golf is a sport not everyone can get good at purely through practice.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You are right! Golf takes the most skill

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There is no way that golf is harder than gymnastics. I'll admit that it takes hours of practice and a high degree of skill; however, gymnastics takes just as much practice and skill but also involves a ridiculous physical strength and has an extremely high risk of injury.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I feel stupid for arguing about this subject because obviously there is going to be a bias for the sport that our lives revolve around, but I only think golf is a much more complex, mentally-elite, all around impossible to beat sport. when I see gymnastics I see a routine that you practice and practice until its perfect so when push comes to shove you do what you prepared for. there is no real preparing for golf, because every single shot is different. But again this argument is futile because every sport is difficult, all that matters is how rewarding the sport is for all of your hard work. (P.S. I like the thought that 50 years from now when Im old all my practice of this beloved sport of mine will still be used :)... gymnastics doesnt last forever :/ )

by Anonymous 13 years ago

"No matter was school you go to, or if don't go to school at all, English is the hardest subject of them all" Spell check before you hit submit....

by Anonymous 13 years ago

this is so true

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Wrestling is. Its practice is based on military training. I'm sure its far more difficult.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I @748600 (Anonymous): I agree, Wrestling conditioning is one of the hardest and its the most physically demanding sport. I've wrestled people far stronger than me and I've still beaten them and vice versa while gymnastics is hard but traditional wrestling not the shit on WWE is extremely hard and vigorous.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

really? cause there are thousands of military personnel in the country. And there are like 100 professional gymnasts, and they do it without a gun ;)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm pretty sure not everyone can do gymnastics. My sister is a gymnast and she works her ass off. If everyone can do it, why don't YOU? Golf may be difficult, but it doesn't nearly take as much muscular endurance and strength as gymnastics. Gymnastics requires balance, flexibility, strength, and endurance.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The thing is, figure skating requires all of the same things only you do it all on a 2cm thick blade.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

so does figure skating

by Anonymous 10 years ago

WHOA you guys are trippin...have you seen how muscular the olympic men are? Try grabbing some rings and doing that. I've done almost every sport including an undefeated wrestling record from school, when I did diving we trained at a gymnastics place, and doing ANYTHING on those rings are near impossible and require MASSIVE amount of strength

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Try making a whole in one.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Try making a hole in one.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

^^ fail.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'll admit it takes a ton of skill and dedication, but I don't know about it being the hardest.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Its definitely gymnastics. Golf, really? Hahahahaha you hit a ball with a stick into a hole

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You sadden me with your ignorance. Golf is one of the most difficult sports to become skilled at. only the talented, mentally capable, and patient people can even play it. dont believe me? go to your nearest golf course and get bogies on every hole (bogie is one stroke more than average if your stupid)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My friend is a level 9, and she hurt her shoulder so badly she needed two surgeries, neither of which worked, and she still does 20 hours a week. I know a girl who, when she was in fourth grade, was asked by her coaches to come to gymnastics not only after school every day, but before as well. This girl was held back on level seven because, even though she got 2nd place aa at states, she fell off the beam. once. It's a crazy world, gymnastics.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Golf is for wooded and cheaters like Cheetah Woods. I play soccer, track, and gymnastics...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

gymnastics isn't a sport

by Anonymous 13 years ago

agreed

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Explain to me how it isn't. Really, I'd love to know why you think it's not a sport.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It has been scientifically proven that swimming is the hardest sport. It uses every muscle at the same time and restricts breathing. It also burns the most calories because your body has to warm up from the cold water.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

the hardest sport shouldnt be judged by the amount of physical exertion it requires. imo the hardest sport is the one that takes very hard work to become even decent at. anyone can swim and be 'good' at it compared to the people just as bad as him. In simple to become a 'par' playing golfer would roughly be the equivilent of setting all the high school swimming records for your school. that is in no way an exhageration.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

it doesn't take as much practice and time to master

by Anonymous 10 years ago

Fact: Gymnastics is also the most expensive sport.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(BumbleBreee: Fact: Sailing is the most expensive sport.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hockey is the most expensive

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Bars, spring floors, beams, mats, spring boards, leotards, tape, pre-wrap, etc. If you factor in all costs, it can get extremely expensive.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

ok... Think about ice rink, zamboni, maintaining the ice frozen and cleaned... Oh wait I forgot expensive pads, quality sticks which don't always last ur whole season, ice skates that have t be re sharpened every once in awhile.. Oh and u can find ice rinks like u can find gyms, cause... There aren't a lot of them..

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Okay, I can see your point. At my school, our school gives us little to no funding so we had to raise $2,600 for a new set of uneven bars. That's just one apparatus. There's still spring floors, vaulting tables and beams to think about, as well. Not to mention all the mats. Plus, it's easy to injure yourself if you're not completely focused so most of the girl's have ankle braces or knee braces to buy too. But I'm sure hockey has some high costs too.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(BumbleBreee):yeah... See hocky u 1st gotta learn how to skate... Then u gotta learn how to control a puck with a stick. And this is all with huge pads on and guys flying at u tryna check you...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Gymnastics isn't a contact sport but it takes a lot of concentration to do what we do. But I envy you; I can't skate for shit.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Figure skating: coaches, club membership, ice time, costumes, skates, skate sharpening, skate bag, tights, physiotherapy (after a really bad fall haha!), two kinds of skate guards.

by Anonymous 10 years ago

Cant*

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Gymnastics or iceskating - same moves as a lot of gymnasts while trying to balance on ice

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What? How is ice skating doing the same things as gymnasts. You don't flip in figure skating and a triple full turn is ELITE. In gymnastics doing a double back tuck is considered decent

by Anonymous 12 years ago

haha didn't mean to start any conflict with sports, i personally play soccer, but when i watch gymnastic and see them doing flips after flips and the incredible balance they have, it seems extremely difficult in both the physical and mental aspects. All sports are difficult in their own way, wrestling-physical, golf-mental and so on.
