by Anonymous 14 years ago

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Money can't buy happiness itself, but can buy things that can cause happiness...

by Anonymous 14 years ago

(): So, it buys in indirectly then ^.^

Money will buy - A bed but not SLEEP Books but not BRAINS Food but not APPETITE Finery but not BEAUTY A house but not a HOME Medicine but not HEALTH Amusements but not HAPPINESS Religion but not SALVATION Think that shows what I think.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Seems like without those things as a start, you won't get happiness... Like, you would be happier, lying awake on a bed, rather than a cold floor. Without buying books, you have no way of getting those brains. Without food, you can't cure your appetite, even if you had one. etc... Ya know? Money can buy happiness for a sort while, but you choose how you want to enjoy it. :P

It's all in your mind. Life is your reality. We grow up in a world where our minds get molded in a way that we could never be happy without certain material things but a man living in the wilderness for example can be just as happy as a rich man in the city. It's all in the mind. Rich men living in the city could probably never be happy without money but that's just because of the way they think.

How can money buy religion? Isn't that free? I mean, you know, unless you're a Scientologist or something. ;D

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Actually I'm pretty sure food can cure your appetite needs

by Anonymous 14 years ago

There's a difference between happiness and joy, ya know?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

money can buy things that make you happy... like chocolate or a pet LLAMA! :D

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Well it could get you out of dept, which a source of unhappiness for a lot of people. So in a way, yeah, money could definitely bring happiness. :)

by Anonymous 14 years ago

It can only buy things that make you happy. Not actual happiness.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

"Money isn't everything... It can buy a bed, but not sleep. It can buy a clock, but not time. It can buy you a book, but not knowledge. It can buy you a position, but not respect. It can buy you medicine, but not health. It can buy you blood, but not life. So you see, money isn't everything and it often causes pain and suffering. I tell you this because I am your friend, and as your friend I want to take away your pain and suffering. So give me all your money and I will suffer for you."

Anyone who disagrees should just think of the millions of people in absolute poverty, who don't even know where their next meal is coming from. i think a few quid would make them very happy if you ask me.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

i don't care too much for money, money can't buy me looove!!!

by Anonymous 14 years ago

People who say money cant buy happiness simply dont know where to shop!!

by Anonymous 14 years ago

haha

by Anonymous 14 years ago

When you have money, all you want is more of the latest and greatest things.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

and with money, you can buy it. I don't think wanting things constantly is that bad if you can have it

by Anonymous 14 years ago

(Meeeeeeeeeeee):People always think that once they have what they want that they wont want anymore and thats not true, no matter how much you get theres always something you can find that you dont have that you want. Do you really think that the richest people in the world are happy? Yeah i guess they are, thats why they turn to drugs, sex, and rehab.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

If you laugh with friends, you are happy aren't you? And you don't have to pay for it. Enough said.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I get what you're saying, but that doesn't mean that money can't buy you happiness, it only means that you don't need money to be happy, which is true.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

money can buy feelings like peace of mind in these tough economic times. it can make you worry less. i no if i won the lottery, i wouldn't have to worry about my dad loosing his job or how i'm gonna pay for college. the stress relief to me would be happiness, so i think in some circumstances it can.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Amen!

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Amen!! And not only peace of mind, but happiness too! Havent you ever felt so good about helping someone you care about or a cause you`re interested? it takes money you know!! And when did that little puppy (or fur ball) didnt make you laugh out loud just by chasing around his tale? buying that cute puppy cost you money, taking care of him did too!! I can name at least 100 more things that make you happy but only with money in the equasion!!

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Actually, this is true. if you have money, you can buy yourself something to make you happy. If you don't agree I would like to know how this isn't true. Find any person just walking down the street, if you give him/her 3,000 dollars, he/she WILL be happy. Or if not, he/she will BUY something to make them happy, this post is absolutely true.
