Why can't they hold up on all the game shows and use the money to fix up the economy

Well, not sure how they get the money to start out with, but the charismatic host is what brings the ratings up and the money reeling in. The show then feeds off that money until suddenly ratings plummet. The host is then forced to leave the canceled show, and he turns to alcohol for comfort. In a drunken stupor, he appears in front of a camera, screaming and yelling. The clip is then shown on The Soup, further ruining the ex-hosts career. Years go on as the man isolates himself from everyone, becoming a shell of his former self. He begins to abuse substances, getting arrested several times while fans look on in horror. He then one day passes away of a heart attack. At his funeral, he is remembered always as the best game show host there ever was. ... -sniff-

They get the money by putting advertisements between their shows. If they gave all the money to charity, who would even be on the show for no reason?

they could get rid of the shows, so they don't make all that money they don't need.

Stupid question. So why don't you give all your money to charity? Just because someone or thing has a lot of money doesn't mean they should give it all to charity.

Because i NEED money to buy food, clothes, pay to live somewhere etc. I was just wondering because TV shows don't NEED to give away a ton of money that they could be giving to charity or to something. Though some do, like the celebrity ones that donate it to charity :)

S@486984 (Anonymous): Sorry for the harshness! The TV shows do NEED the money to pay the people who work on the show so those people can buy food, clothes, and a place to live. I get where you're coming from but it's not like they just throw away the money. Plus about half of the money goes to taxes. So even if someone wins 50,000 dollars cash on the Wheel of Fortune they only get about 30,00 to take home.
