What whiteshadow said... I do this all the time

by Anonymous 13 years ago

WhiteShadow beat me to it. Sadly, Mac OS X doesn't seem to have this feature, or at least not as easily accessible. Does anyone know anything about how to do that on Macs?

Windows 7 has the option where you can use a "sound mixer" to mute the different programs you have open. So you can mute Chrome or whatever while iTunes is still playing.

Vista has it, too, I think.

Oh that's interesting I had no idea I've never had Vista...too many rumored problems...too risky to try.

It's been a while since I used Vista, but I'm pretty sure it had it. It really did suck, especially without any service packs. I would just let my computer idle and watch in amazement at how the CPU meter would bounce between 2% and 100% seemingly via whimsy. :P
