Meat tastes delicious.
Also, if you're religious, it says in the bible to eat animals. So if you don't, you're going to hell!
by Anonymous13 years ago
Well some people can't eat eat meat because they have health problems or just don't like the taste of meat. That wouldn't be fair to make someone go to hell just because they can't eat meat or because they don't like it or some other reasons. Also, no offence to any religious people, but you really shouldn't let a book control your life and have it tell you what to do.
by Anonymous13 years ago
that's kinda offensive. the bible doesn't control our lives.
by Anonymous13 years ago
It guides us. We have free will. Free will is biblical.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Theres a difference between not wanting, and not being able. thats like saying everyone should take penicillin if they have stds, unless they are allergic. it's a no brainer.
Also, anyone who doesn't like the taste of meat, has not had good meat. If meat didn't taste good, people wouldn't continue to eat it for thousands of years.
by Anonymous13 years ago
i agree, and its not like meat has one taste, its an entire variety of foods.. like someone saying "i dont like the taste of meat" might as well say "i dont like to eat red things"
by Anonymous13 years ago
So basically if someone doesn't like the taste of meat, they also don't like the taste of Apples? Cherries? Radishes? Tomatoes? Red Bell Peppers?
by Anonymous11 years ago
this is so old haha. but no what i'm saying is that "meat" isn't a general flavor, things that are meat have a variety. for example lots of people don't like brussels sprouts, but that doesn't necessarily mean they shouldn't hate vegetables altogether.
by Anonymous11 years ago
He didn't say that those who eat meat and don't like to eat meat would go to hell.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Why should you even care if people choose to be a vegetarian/vegan anyways? It doesn't affect your life, so why should you even care?
by Anonymous13 years ago
It's not that I care, it's that unless for a medical reason, it's pretty much completely retarded.
by Anonymous13 years ago
So basically you're calling people who don't want to eat meat because they don't like it retarded?
by Anonymous13 years ago
No, I'm saying not liking meat is retarded. There are times when meat is gross, but most of the time it's the greatest thing in the world.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Yeah, so basically people who dislike all meat because they don't like the taste of all meat is retarded is what you're saying.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Yes. Its like if you have pink lemonade koolaid, and you hate it, so you don't drink any kind of koolaid at all. You hate one kind, so how can any other be better. That is the exact same concept as this.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Well if they do it like that, like taste ham, but don't like it, but then refuses to eat fish because they didn't like ham, I still get a little annoyed when people do that, I would like it if they did give it a try first, but there are some people who have tried many different types of meat and disliked it all, if they truly dislike it, they shouldn't have to eat it. Also some people don't eat meat because the treatment of animals at slaughter houses, and if that's why they don't want to eat eat, they shouldn't have to. If someone truly dislikes eating something, they shouldn't be forced to eat it.
by Anonymous13 years ago
" but there are some people who have tried many different types of meat and disliked it all," That, honestly, is me. I wish people would just understand it D:
by Anonymous13 years ago
You are assuming people haven't had all types of meat and turned vegetarian later. Whether they have or not, it's a lifestyle choice which isn't really fair to judge them on.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I very much agree.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Everyone has the decision to eat whatever they want.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I know right? Why does everyone feel the need to bend everyone to their lifestyle preferences? Eat (or don't eat) whatever the fuck you want, I say.

Best food group. <3

This sounds like a sexual innuendo....

Veganism - The belief that humans forced themselves to the top of the food chain so that they could eat fruits, vegetables, and tofu for the rest of their lives.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I'm a vegetarian, but I do eat fish (personal health reasons that I don't want to explain on the internet). I don't like the taste of meat. Everyone should be able to choose what they eat. I am perfectly fine watching one of my friends have a burger. I'm not one of those vegetarians who tries to make you feel bad about eating meat.

Dear Common_Sense, this has nothing to do with your witty comment on this post. But, you're biography doesn't have common sense. It's formspring.ME, not formspring.COM. This has caused confusion. Please fix it. You are welcome.

Vegetarianism and veganism is a personal choice. Most veggies/ vegans don't tell other people to stop eating meat, yet we (I am a vegetarian) are often criticized by meat-eaters for choosing to be vegetarians and they try to tempt us back into eating meat.
Just let us eat whatever the hell we want. It usually doesn't interfere with your life.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I agree with you. Why do meat eaters even care if some else eats meat anyways? It's not affecting them. Also veggies/vegans don't try to force meat eaters to become vegetarians/ vegans.
by Anonymous13 years ago
And meat eaters also try to force vegetarians/vegans to eat meat. It works both ways so stfu.
by Anonymous13 years ago
That weren't meant to be a reply was it?

people not eating meat does affect some people's lives, ie. farmers and ranchers. And a lot of them do try to force their lifestyles on others. Its the goal of PETA and HSUS to convert everyone to a plant based diet.
by Anonymous13 years ago
True, but one person not eating their meat won't do much, and most people do like meat and will eat it no matter what, so is barely effects farmers lives. I not trying to get meat eaters to stop eating meat, i trying to get meat eaters to stop criticizing non-meat eaters. Also I guessing you're not a farmer or a rancher, so it doesn't really affect your life.
by Anonymous13 years ago
yep, since I just got home from taking care of some show hogs, halter breaking a heifer, and checking the cows in the pasture, my life is definitely not affected.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Vegetarians criticize omnivores just as often as vice versa, in my experience. I don't think I'm superior because I eat meat, you shouldn't think you are because you don't eat meat.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I don't, but if other people want to then they can.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I'm 15 years old and I've been a vegetarian for three years. I refuse to fund farmers and slaughterhouses to butcher animals, cause them tremendous pain and keep them in unbearable living conditions. Over the years I've seen many documentries and read plenty of stories to know that it is not all utter bullshit that you hear goes on. In some cases chickens were kicked around like footballs, thrown at walls and stuffed into stupidly tight spaces, cows were beheaded in long and painful 20 minute processes and pigs were force fed to extremely unhealthy weights and made to mate and breed in violent, forceful processes. It is disgusting that we treat animals with such lack of respect when they have been keeping us alive for millions of years and that's purely why I will not eat meat. By eating meat, I would personally feel as though I was supporting the suffering of animals. I'm not trying to force anyone to not eat meat, it's a personal choice that I made and all I can do is share my opi...
by Anonymous13 years ago
Slaughter houses are really bad. I agree with you.
by Anonymous13 years ago
You should eat halal/kosher meat then. The animals don't feel any pain when killed, and are taken away from the other animals before being slaughtered.
by Anonymous13 years ago
It's hard to find where I live, they don't sell it in the supermarkets and I don't live near any halal/ kosher or even free range farms ect.
