+239 Girls: You'd rather pay $65 for a pair of Ugg look-a-likes (Bear Paw) than $200 on actual Uggs. All you'd be paying for is the little tag on the back. amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i wouldnt prefer uggs at all. nike hightops is where its at :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Those work too. xD

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Brand names are better than knock-offs.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I like bearpaws lining better compared to some uggs, other uggs i like the lining. I'm pretty much 50/50, but I own more uggs than bearpaws. But brand names are better, in most cases.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah I guess it varies from person to person. But which would be easier to replace if something happened to them?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

True. I "beat up" my bearpaws, and use the Uggs for special occasions/switch off.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

you aren't paying for the tag. You're paying for eight dead sheep to wear on your dainty little prima donna feet. But don't mind me. Bloody dead sheep on your toes are "sooo in". fools. *facepalm*

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You do realize that sheep can be shorn without having to kill them, right?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You do realize that these sheep were skinned, right? It says on the Ugg website that it's a sheep skin boot.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You must be a vegetarian then? since sheep get killed all the time for meat, which most people dont have a problem with.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yo, Tiffany's got a point, it's one thing to use animals for survival (eating), but it's another thing to kill, them and use them as an accessory.... I don't know about you, but if I had to be murdered I would choose to be eaten, than be worn on the feet by the pricks of the world (or worn period).

by Anonymous 13 years ago

yeah, but im sure they dont just skin it and let the rest go to waste? wouldnt it be wasting less of the carcass?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What no? Where'd you get that preposterous hypothesis? Did Steve tell you that perchance? Anywho, they're not skinning an already dead sheep... they're killing a live sheep and skinning it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

uhh... what you just said didnt make sense... theyre not skinning an already dead sheep, but theyre killing it first then skinning it. Isnt that skinning an already dead sheep?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

btw im jsut trolling now :) i see your point!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yes it does, if you read it with what the anon said, "wouldnt it be wasting less of the carcass?" But if they're going to kill the sheep, then that's wasting the sheep not the carcass... it's not that complicated, just think about it

by Anonymous 13 years ago

@929607 (KickAss): Actually Uggs are made by shaving sheep. The outside is suede.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

How do you shave the skin off? You shave the wool... you can't shave the skin though. Suede comes from lamb?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh wow. When I searched yesterday there were multiple sources that said sheep aren't killed to make them...I guess that's not true according to resources I found. Damn...I have Uggs

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Figured....

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The $200 ones are much comfortable though!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Slip on vans are better :s theyre my favorite, Im a girl, btw and I also think uggs are ugly.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Uggs are UGLY.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

*uggly

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Just because its more expensive doesn't necessarily mean its better quality

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Uggs bug me, because almost everyone has them and every time I mention that I need new boots there's always SOMEONE around who tells me I should get uggs... I also would never spend 200$ on a pair of boots that just looked like a lump of suede and fur...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Uggs look like potatoes on people's feet. I just don't get why they're in.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm Sorry but Ugg's are the ugliest things I have ever seen. Or even the look alikes... Like, why would you wear those outside in the snow or rain, or with shorts on a hot spring day... it just doesnt look right. Too me that is.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

People only say Uggs are ugly because the name fits. Personally, I pay 35 dollars for the cheap version, because I probably won't like them by the time they fall apart... Plus I prefer the design of a Sonoma better than an Ugg or Bear Paw.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

...I say Uggs are ugly not only because the name fits, but because I think so.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh my days, even fake Uggs cost $65? I shall never look at a girl the same way again!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i hate it when they dont take care of the shoes, and then their foot isnt even on the bottom of the shoe, the bottom is to the side, and they are walking on the part that's supposed to be on your leg..

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Uggs are the ugliest shoe ever created!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I detest uggs.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The people who have commented "Ugg's are the ugliest shoe ever" have seemed to forget about the existence of Crocs.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

lol i like to buy other styles of boots not the blunt and round "ugg variety"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I actually read somewhere that only real Uggs provide support for your foot. The knock-offs are extremely bad for your feet and back.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I was bored one day so I counted all of the middle schoolers (we wait at their school for them to come on the bus) wearing Uggs. There were at least seventy in fifteen minutes.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I got mine from costco for like 20 bucks and they have lasted for about 3 years now and are still in pretty good condition. I think all Ugg type boots are really ugly but I get really cold so I wear them to school or as slippers any ways. But only from November 5th to March 12th.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Same with me. I got a pair of "Emu" boots for about 25. I do think they're ugly, but they're so cozy.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

emu's are from the same company as uggs and have the same quality but are cheaper. you got emu's for 20 bucks? usually they're like a hundred or so.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Really? Woah that's cheap. But yeah I got them on a realllly big sale...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i love how there is an Ugg ad under this post..

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I love my walmart brand uggs:) they work just fine for me.
