+95 Jesus was Asian, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I lol'd.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Wasn't he Arab?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's in Asia.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

hes from israel, which is in asia. so yes technicly he is asian

by Anonymous 13 years ago

"Technically" he was, although Asian usually means Chinese, Japanese, Korean or southeast Asian in today's meaning. The cultures are so different across Asia that we need to differentiate between the Middle East and the Far East. But yes, he was Asian.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

haha this puts a whole new face on him!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

jesus is whatever you want him to be. that's the whole point of the bible never saying what race he was specifically.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

He was born in Bethlehem, raised in Jerusalem. I think Mary was from Bethlehem. YES, it basically said he was from the Middle East. Which is in Asia, technically.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Joseph was from Bethlehem (9 years of Catholic school right there!), but the concept is correct.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Whoops. I went to religious classes and church and everything, but I see nothing stuck :P

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's been proven that the man Jesus lived in Nazareth. Of course it can be debated whether he was the son of god, but it can't be debated that he was born and lived in the Middle East.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

hey. no one cares because theyre gonna see him how they picture him. yeah hes technically asian but not everyone pictures him as a member of an asian race

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So you're disagreeing because you can disregard facts and believe whatever you want.....? That's as logical as religion itself.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

pretty much. and dont diss religion just cuz yo life sucks betchh.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm not dissing religion. I'm actually religious. Nor does my life suck. But think about it, religion is a pretty crazy idea, but that's why you gotta have faith.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ok. yes, i did just kill this convo. you're welcome

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I <3 your name

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i <3 you for saying that!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Now I <3 you in general ^_^ mmmm bacon

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i am so glad :). bacon is pretty amazing

by Anonymous 13 years ago

He wasn't Asian ethnicity-wise. If you're White, born in South Africa, then moved to America, does that make you African-American? Israel and the other Arabian countries are majority White. White people are from Europe, North Africa, and Asia that's west of the Caspian Sea.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It technically does. You from Africa, and now you are American. African-American.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

but people would think you're being racist i bet

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Probably. Everything is racist.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i hate when people look into the technical meaning of a post, laugh, vote and move on.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I lol'd

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I thought he's jewish.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

He was, but Judaism is a religion, not an ethnicity.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Fail

by Anonymous 13 years ago

By that logic, he's heaven-middle-eastern? I think? Lol :D

by Anonymous 13 years ago

He was born in the Roman Empire. Back then, they didn't have Asia or Europe or America. They just had Rome, some tribes in Northern Russia, early Chinese dynasties, and some native tribes along the continent. Thereby, Jesus was just plainly Roman.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So Native Americans weren't actually Native Americans because we didn't call it America yet?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Right. Before, they called themselves the Sioux and the Cherokee and the Iroquois and whatever else.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The point I'm making is that Jesus was still technically Asian. Because the Sioux and Cherokee are Native Americans even though they weren't called that at first.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So what if in 20 years we call Asia, Eurasia. Then Jesus will be Eurasian.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yes. That's how it works. Languages evolve. Just like we call you a person now, but way back when they called you something else.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So for consistency, Jesus is Roman. But for the modernity of language, he is Asian (for now).

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yep.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Jesus died a Jew.

Dear Lord baby Jesus, lyin' there in your ghost manger, just lookin' at your Baby Einstein developmental videos, learnin' 'bout shapes and colors. I would like to thank you for bringin' me and my mama together, and also that my kids no longer sound like retarded gang-bangers.
