+105 Christianity: One woman's lie about having an affair that got seriously out of hand. amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

ahahahaa

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Even if she wasn't a virgin, there are plenty of other things Jesus did to prove he was God's son to the people.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

lol no, the whole point is that Jesus didn't even do anything (let alone exist), it's all a book made up by some non virgin who popped out some other dude's kid.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

This isn't even historically accurate. the bible was written by several different men, not Mary.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Nobody said it was written by Mary, they're saying she said she was having God's baby to cover up for having had an affair, which in the end, resulted in Christianity and the Bible (well the New Testament anyway). ...It's a joke. :) (Not to mention, the Bible isn't the most historically accurate, either)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I was commenting back to this guy "lol no, the whole point is that Jesus didn't even do anything (let alone exist), it's all a book made up by some non virgin who popped out some other dude's kid." They made it sound like it was ALL written by Mary. Oh no, it's not like the Bible continued after Jesus' and Mary's deaths. And who ever heard of an Old Testament?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh okay then. :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

@523286 (fangirl12): Hey dipshit I never said the book was written by mary and Jesus as portrayed in the bible DIDNT EXIST. A person named Jesus did, but some miracle giving, turning women into salt guy did not. I was merely going along with the OP and saying she helped make up one of the biggest fictitious books ever written, and got flamed by retarded people like you who can't understand simple things like that. Also even writing in her own death, along with John's could have been ...oh I don't know...FICTION. Or other people could have continued to the story, that happens all the times even during present times where other authors will continue a story left behind by somebody. And for Kickass, you call me a troll and stupid but everytime I see your name pop up somewhere it's just a bunch of hate and retarded bullshit, seems like you have even more problems than a troll does. Perhaps you should go eat some more icecream to make it go away :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

She didn't write in her own death. It was never written that she actually died, we only know about how old she would have been, relative to the ages of the people writing the Bible. If you're going to make fun of a religion and people whom you have never met, I suggest you have basic knowledge of the religion. It wouldn't hurt to cut back on the swearing either, it makes you look like an angry 12 year old.(And I don't want to hear about how you "don't care what I think because I'm just a 'retarded'(<--offensive) troll.".

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Swearing makes me seem 12? I thought ONLY GROWNS UP SWEARED OH MY FUCKING GOD I'M NOT A GROWN UP ANYMORE LULLLZZZ. and considering I grew up going to Church 3 times a week and worshipped everything about God and the Bible I'm pretty sure I know a bit more than you, unless of course you grew up the same way :) And again, you didn't bother to read my explanation but rather jump onto a few inconsequential points and go with it. How about you shit out that stick up your ass and learn some basic comprehension mkay?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

And if the belief given by the Bible is that she died, then she wrote in her own fucking death...if of course you go along with what the post originally says, that the Bible was all started by her spewing out lies about how she got preggers when she's supposed to be a virgin. Do you get it now?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Dude, noI already adressed this. And I already said her death wasn't actually written in the Bible.(Instead of saying I don't read your comments, maybe you should read mine.) And even if she wasn't a virgin, Jesus still healed people from illnesses, preached in temples, rebelled against corrupt priests and (according to your beliefs) died to save us all. And please, I'm honestly asking you, stop talking to me like I don't know what i'm talking about. And the only point in your gigantic paragraph I saw, was that the Bible is fake, and that everyone who disagrees is a retard. There are better way of getting your point across than insulting people.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

And there's no proof Jesus did any of that, other than by what's written in the bible...and what's the whole basis for the bible...ahh yes love that circular logic don't you?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Don't you realize that there's no more proof of what Jesus did, than the proof we have that Sacajawea, and King Henry exist. All we have of them are stories and what's written in our textbooks. But did you ever question their existance?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

All I got from this is, something something something, you're an idiot.... Something something, you should kill yourself and find out if there is a God or not....

by Anonymous 13 years ago

...Well that's not very nice... Did you just tell anyone who doesn't believe in God to kill themselves? Or was it just the OP? Either way, that's not very nice, and if someone who happened to not believe in God and also happened to be depressed/suicidal read that, they could take it personally, and then you'd be responsible for a death. I happen to fit the above description, but I'm not gonna take it personally or bother to kill myself over it... Just my contribution/opinion...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(hi everyone.): That's very true y

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(hi everyone.): Umm, I said all I got from that is.... You didn't input anything for me to get something from, if it wasn't clear, I will clear it up now, it was intended for annonymous. Next time you can look at whatever is after the @, so yeah. And anonymous didn't just say he didn't believe in God, he was rude about it and he stated something that was clearly false.... Even if I did tell suicidal people to commit suicide, then the act is their responsibility. Learn to take responsibility for your own actions and stop blaming others

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You still shouldn't tell people to kill themselves. Is someone who says that to people really the kind of person you want representing God?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I am not representing God.... I'm not even really that religious.... I just don't like any religions being disrespected the way they are being as in this case. When someone makes false accusations, then I will argue against it.... Even if I am against what I am arguing....

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That made perfect sense up until the last 2 sentences. Technically yes, it is a suicidal person's own decision to kill themselves, but they don't just randomly decide: "Hmm. Nothing is going wrong in my life and nobody's being mean to me. I'll kill myself!" but they could decide: "My life sucks. Maybe I should die." and then seeing something (that they could perceive as, like I did) telling them they shouldn't live, could push them over the edge. ...I'm not doing a very good job of arguing my point, am I? :P

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(hi everyone.): Meh, your okay.... I mean we totally changed the subject of the argument, but I mean I get what you are saying.... It was mean of me to say that, so I will apologize for it. I was wrong, do not kill yourself! You seem like an okay guy/girl

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Okay. Thank you. You seem okay too! :P :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(hi everyone.): Yup and thank you, I hope you don't take the argument personally, I was merely trying to prove a point and probably got carried away... :p

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Jesus did exist. Youd be a fuckin moron to debate that being as there is proof to his existance. Its the being gods son thing that needs debating

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's not what the OP meant... (At least I don't think it is...) They're saying that Mary got pregnant from an affair, didn't want to admit it, and so declared herself pregnant by God. The child would still have been called Jesus, no matter how he was actually conceived.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah I know a couple of guys named Jesus they're all Hispanic. Not middle eastern.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually there is a lot of evidence to suggest that he did exist, not evidence of his powers but evidence that he did indeed exist. Get off the internet and watch the history channel maybe?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Can you read my reply to the comment above you please? 'Cause I can't be bothered to type it out again... :) :P

by Anonymous 13 years ago

someone needs to put this on amiwrong.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Someone needs to hug everybody!!!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Aah.. The joys of deluded religious people 'debating' their religious opinions..

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually someone saying something offensive to the bible started this (not talking about the post) so a non religious person started it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well for the people who say Jesus and God did/do exist, what do they say about other religions, about allah, and all the other Gods?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually, Islam is branched off of Christianity and Islam. They call them "People of the book". The old testament is what Jews follow, and Islam, I'm not sure, but they believe in many of the same prophets, but they don't believe Jesus was God's son, that he came back from the dead or saved us from our sins. Muslims believe Muhammed is the last and greatest of all the prophets and that he is the most important person in the entire Bible, next to God, but they don't believe he's special in any way, other than his words are the most important. Personally, I don't believe in Hinduism, because of certain important elements in their religion. The Caste system? Don't get me started. And they believe that if you were good in a past life, you will be reincarnated into a higher form of life, until you reach a man at the top of the cast system. It has to be a man. No women. It actually considers men, a higher species compared to women. Also, Buddhism doesnt have a god.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

*sorry, not the Bible the Koran. I was thinking about the Koran from the previous sentence I was typing.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

* I mean I was thinking about the bible. Wow, I am just aweful today.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

well, you obviously don't know the hindu scriptures. The cast system was a social system of organization and it existed everywhere. In the west, there were the royals, the noble, the peasants, etc. Also the reincarnation system affected how fortunate you were in your next life. So if you do some bad, you won't be human in your next life. And if you do something good, you will reincarnate as a human so that you can persue nirvana.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I all know that. But the Caste system was actually a part of hindu scriptures and there was no way to move up or down in society. Other cultures allowed at least some movement, though not much.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Sure, if you say so. Why in the world would a person who has studied Sanskrit and can actually read and understand everything in the scriptures know anything.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I like how you didn't use logic or reason to try and prove me wrong, just said why you think you're right without adressing anything we actually talked about.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

well this way, we can both be happy thinking we are right. No one knows the truth about these things with absolute certainty anyways.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You're right about no one knowing anything for certain, but I hope they cover more religion in class once i get back to school. I enjoy learning about religion, so it would be fun to learn more on this topic.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't know if anyone has said this before but: 1. The Caste system isn't part of the hindu religion, people like Gandhi have tried to get rid of it, though it still exists in rural places. There is no requirement that if you are hindu, you have to believe in the caste system. It just evolved when different cultural groups mixed in India. Although its still common in rural areas, the majority of places in India don't have the rule that you can't eat/marry people of others castes like it was in the past. 2. The goal of hinduism is not to be reincarnated as a man. It's actually to achieve moksha, which is being in one with the universe, and break the cycle of reincarnation. 3. Originally men were considered greater than women. But, this is the case with basically every historic cultural group, even *gasp* Christians. In fact, Indira Gandhi was the first women prime minister of India, and even America hasn't had a women leader yet. Sorry to rant....

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Just so you know, Allah is just the Arabic word for God. They're the same concept...Jews, Christians, and Muslims believe in the same God, and a lot of their religious beliefs are the same. They're all Abrahamic religions.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm going to hell for laughing at this, aren't I?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

don't worry I'll be right there with you XP

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I think you'll be fine.

Jerry Springer would be proud.

_______________________________________________________ Amirite post: "Lol, this post mentions Christianity sumwheres." Suddenly, a sleeping army of amiriters spring up violently from the dead and take this as their queue to begin shouting at each other mindlessly about religion. Me: FFFUUUUUUUUU- ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ This happens every single time. Seriously, isn't this getting old?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

by Anonymous 13 years ago
