+132 They should put breath testers on cars, so that the car won't start if you are drunk, amirite?

They do if you've been arrested for DUI.

SickLoveLetter speaks the truth. The reason they only do it with those people is because those things are expensive.

I say "no way" because these already exist. If they didn't exist I'd green it up.

They do seem like a good idea in general. Kind of like the drunk text app, but even more useful. I don't know if I would support mandating this for everyone (most likely not), but it would certainly prevent a lot of situations in which a person drives intoxicated, often denying intoxication and exhibiting poor judgement, and getting into accidents with fatalities.

Yeah, then all they would have to do is get some random sober person to blow for them.

im thinking nobody sober enough would allow someone drunk to drive

You'd be surprised

It seems pretty inconvenient to have to do a breath test every time you want to start your car.

Lol I'm just imagining some really frustrated sick guy who just had cough syrup

Mouthwash messes up test results, too. I think a number of things do.
