My Literature teacher can't smell.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

and what about those who can't feel??

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They do get recognition. They're called paraplegics and quadraplegics. And there's actually a lot of research going into treating spinal injuries.

alone time must be useless to them then :/

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Deaf people don't hear about anyone.

There's a kid at my school that can't smell. It's far less obvious and far less of a disability. They don't have to walk with a cane, don't have to use sign language, etc.

But they can't smell chocolate chip cookies.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I know :( poor, poor people.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well people who can't smell often have a way of smelling things through taste. My mom can't smell but she will taste the scent of things.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ah. Yeah, admittedly the taste of chocolate chip cookies is better than the smell. Arguably. :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

LOLOLOL they probably fart just to piss everyone off then.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I can't smell! But sometimes that's a good thing I guess :p

Can you imagine not being able to light candles?!?!? Or find good perfume?!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm preeetty sure you'd still be able to light a candle...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My brother can't smell. I feel so bad when I say "You smell that?" before I catch myself and he's like "No.."

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My best friend can't smell!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

no, I didn't mean THAT kind of being unable to feel... I mean the people that can't feel the touch of something- not necessarily those who can't feel/walk/move...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

How 'bout not being able to taste anything? That'd be pretty damn awful too. Just not so much as, you know, being disabled...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I can't smell, but I can still taste anything. But I don't know if I taste the right way, maybe it's all very different than what I taste.
