+631 It's kind of worrying that if the Hunger Games becomes a movie, they'll be focused on the romance angle rather than the true awesomeness of the plot and it's going to be all "TEAM PEETA!" "TEAM GALE!" the whole time and then you'll be devastated, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's going to be a movie, and it's going to be completely terrible. But there also is no team anything. It's already been decided who Katniss is with, the end. Just like the Edward and Jacob thing should have ended a long time ago too..

I just wish that Mr. Sex God of District Four (aka Finnick) wasn't taken. I love Finnick. He is hilarious and awesome. "Does this make you *strikes provactive pose* UN-comfortable?"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah it doesn't really matter that he's taken, he was still a really great character. "We just saw Finnick Odair in his underwear." <3

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hahaha! I love that part so much!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't know, Suzanne Collins is gonna be the screenwriter I'm pretty sure.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah she is, I believe. But there's still plenty of other ways to mess it up besides the script.. Casting is a big one. D;

by Anonymous 13 years ago

you don't care for PETA? whaaaaat? :/

by Anonymous 13 years ago

no, nothing will ever take away from the intensity of the hunger games- NOTHING, not even annoying fan girls who can't see past the romance dynamic...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

OK girls are not all "annoying fan girls who can't see past the romantic dynamic" I think the stories are great and let's hope they don't put sides to it bacause that would be just plain stupid

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I never said "all girls" i'm a girl...who until very recently loved the hunger games, but i just finished Mockingjay and now i hate them with an inhuman passion...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ok so am I, I'm waiting for the finale from the library so don't say anything.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm going to be devastated with the movie no matter what. :/ Even if it's amazing, it still won't be as good as the book. The people who only see the movie will tell you how amazing it is and they won't know how good it really is.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

See, the Hunger Games book was amazing. And if they ever come out with a movie without screwing up the series, I'll probably be its biggest fan. Although I haven't read Catching Fire or Mockingjay yet (Mockingjay just came out the other day...)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I still need to get around to going to the bookstore to buy Catching Fire and Mockingjay. I love the Hunger games.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

katniss has 2 babies with peers at the end. She also kills the leader of the rebellion

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Peeta*

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Bitchass mother fucker... I still haven't read mockingjay yet...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

she saved you some time- DONT read mockingjay- its absolutely awful and screwed with my brain and i HATE it...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Dickmove.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You fucking douche, at least say spoiler alert or something. seriously, way to ruin the whole dang book.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Grrrr... I just checked out Mockingjay!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i was flabbergasted (if i spelled that right :) , animal rights rule!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

wow this book got so popular? i just bought it 2 years ago and i've been lazy about finishing it XD and now i am hearing and seeing it every where

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Haha seriously, I didn't even think that many people would get hooked on it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Mockingjay made me cry. As will the movie if it turns out to be fucking shitty.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I 'm waiting for mockingjay from the library! Can't wait!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

but twilight was all about the romance part, the hunger games isn't! so maybe they won't mess it up completely ! by the way, I'm completely team peeta <3 ps. mockingjay wasn't thy great. the first two were way better

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(Nicole17):

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The story line wasn't all that fantastic in Mockingjay, but the imagery and the way it was written, albeit a few parts sucked, was orgasmic.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

ill throw my drink at the screen if it turns out like that :/

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I love you all for reading this book!! And his name is PeEta!:) I have yet to get Mockingjay so no spoliers:)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They can't really dull it down too much though, because it is, in the end a story about this girl who wins in a 24 way fight of teens. It has to be atleast PG-13 and anything is offensive.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(Hello-kitty): It'll be PG-13 or less because it's a young adult book. Probably PG-13 like you said thoughh.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

omg you don't know how many times I want to click yeah you are on this one

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well, Suzanne Collins is writing the screenplay, so maybe then it won't be horrible?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Wow. I read a comment ruining the book...And I'm too lazy to respond to it. But thanks a fucking lot for ruinging the whole book. I read the first one and I need the second and third but now I feel like I don't even want to get them because nothing pisses me off more than someone ruining a book for me. It's flat out rude. But anyways...I like to comment on the amirite itself and not have a conversation with the people who comment it so...If I were going to be on a team I would be on Team Peeta because 1) I like him and 2) I can just see Katniss being with Peeta because Gale is more of a friend anyways. ...So yeah. And I really hope that they don't screw up the book by making the movie because I don't want a bunch of people who only watched the movie totry to tell me how amazing it is because the book is by far wayyyy better than the movie will be.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i don't want them to make a movie!!! movies always screw up the books!!! just look at twilight! ughhhhh! :@

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I always liked how it was romantic without being Twilight gushy romantic (staring into each others eyes for hours, kissing every chapter...) It wasn't all about the romance but I found myself becoming very attached to the characters (especially Peeta and Katniss.)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

"it's going to be all "TEAM PEETA!" "TEAM GALE!" the whole time" Huh . . . no wonder why stephenie meyer loved the books so much.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm a little worried about that, but I'm hoping any notions of it turning in to something like that are drowned out when a bunch of teenagers start killing each other with their bare hands. That tends to put a damper on the whole romantic level of things.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

we can only hope to god, and MJ wasn't that bad, just not as quick pased as the first two. I read the whole thing last night. The thing is the movie/book world have accepted that less guys will see/read anything with a female lead, and more girls will see it if its romance heavy. The thing we need is for them to not think of it monetarily and trust to the popularity of the story to sell tickets.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm not giving the movie theatre seven dollars to see it if I find out it's just about the romance -.- But I'll pay blockbuster $2.50 when it comes out!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Where do you live and why are your prices so low?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Coast of Texas, and that's low? I don't go to the movies that much 0:-) But the snacks are freakin expensive. Two waters, a bag of twizzlers, and a medium popcorn cost me $17.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah, for us, the ticket is $11.50 and the snacks are about the same. Blockbuster is more expensive too, probably around $5.00 or $6.00... Haha

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ew, sorreh :( Our Blockbuster used to be about that much, but they almost went out of business and started having the "dollar a night" movie rentals, haha.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hahahaha

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I will not allow that to happen! Mockingjay was kind of a depressing ending. Everyone that I liked kind of...died.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

TEAM. FREAKING. PEETA.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If people are seriously gonna go all fangirl and "ONGZ TEAM PEETA!!1!!!one!" Then I'm not sure if I'm gonna see the movie. Just because the fangirls are gonna be so frickin obnoxious.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They shouldn't even make a movie. After I see a movie made after a book, it just ruins the images I made up while reading! Just like twilight and it just sucks. i wish I could imagine Edward without having Robert fucking Pattinson's image stuck in my head!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm hoping they pull a Harry Potter and make it as good as the books.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

hah. the funny thing is the movie was barely focused on the romance at all and i LOVED it
